I wonder how many of you upstanding and mature gentleman that are busting on me have even been to a Blazer/Laker game in the Garden. Let me put it this way - if the Blazers were playing ANY other team with ANY other fan base, It wouldn't have occurred to us to fuck with the guy in the first place. He's not innocent. He's a god damn Laker fan.

So me and my boys are hanging outside the RG after the game. Lots of shit talking to the Laker fans passing by. We gaze across the fountain area, about 30 yards from a lone Laker fan standing by himself, wearing that piss colored garbage. We start woofing at him loudly. Lots of smak from our end. He's yelling back at us. It's fun. He's an idiot. There are about 6 of us, in Blazer gear, verbally attacking this Laker guy. Behind us we did not notice the 5 cops approaching us. No worries. The cops don't give a shit about us at all. But I call them over and tell them that the Laker guy "over there" (the dude we were busting on) was using drugs. I saw him shooting up. Dealing. The cops went over there and questioned him while me and my buddies were chanting "Just say no!" "Just say no!" -- then the Laker fan got all lippy (shocker) and all the cops converged on him and booted him out of the area (rose quarter)

It was fucking beautiful.

Can you clairify what "verbally attacking"him consisted of....Trashing the Lakers (fine) or getting personal and attacking him as a man( no bueno)?

FWIW I was perfectly fine with your story until you had the cops get involved...No need to affect people real lives over sport. What if he had a small personal sack of weed on him and now is busted and possibly loses his job. It sorta reminds me of how Mixum was being ragged on which is fine, but then sombody found out his true identity and personal info and posted it here...WAY uncalled for.

My point still stands, but in the OP's case perhaps he and his friends should have taken the high road. As long as the Laker fans tucks his tail between his legs and slinks away after watching his team get spanked, no harm no foul.

Fun and games and trash-talk is one thing. And I've been to plenty of Laker-Blazer games, and have seen the crass behavior of those in purple-and-gold. But sicking the cops on someone on a fabricated allegation involving drugs is totally uncalled for.

So I just took the litmus test regarding this situation. I ran the story by my wife. She was completely unimpressed with me. Haha. Granted, she is a human that has never in her life been to a Blazer/Laker game. But she echoed every gripe I've heard here. Hilarious.

So you started smack talking to "a lone Laker fan standing by himself" while you are in a group. If the Laker fan wasn't talking smack first then that just bad form on you man! I understand giving him crap if he talking shit the entire time and then you put him in his place. If not, that just a low blow. Yeah I was thinking the same damn thing. Now me, on the other hand, have a great story in L.A.! I live there and try and catch every Laker vs. Blazer game. This season I couldn't because of work.

So here's my story. I went to the Staple's center in my Sheed Wallace Jersey. Yes I still sport his Jersey at games. Anyways, I am obviously surrounded by Laker fans and they are trying to heckle me all game. They would constantly tell me to shut up because I cheered so loud when the Blazers would make a play. Eventually they pussed out and called security to tell me to shut up. When security arrived, they asked me what the problem was. I responded that I am just rooting for my team and these fans are heckling me all game. After talking with each other; they told the fans around me that I have every right to cheer for my team and I had paid for a ticket just like they did. They also warned them if there was any physical altercation, that whomever started it would be immediately thrown out.

I smiled and said "You will see no problem with me, unless it's me heckling the Lakers playing like shit right now!"
