Serena Williams withdraws from Qatar Total Open with the flu
A week before play opens in Doha for the 2016 Qatar Total Open, top-ranked Serena Williams has announced her withdrawal from the tournament because of a case of the flu.
This marks the second consecutive tournament in which the 34-year old has dropped out; Williams also withdrew from the Dubai Tennis Championships on Saturday because of illness, in all likelihood the same one.

Wonzniacki, ranked 22, lost the first set but recovered in fine style to beat Konjuh 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in 2 hours 35 minutes.
