Hughes, CC & Pettitte have been pitching like shit.

Cano & several other are hitting like shit

So please tell me again why the Yankees are paying Long & Rothchild.

What about Kuroda and Nova? Is he only paying attention to them?

I think I have more of a problem with Rothchild. I don't see any adjustments which may not be his fault. I think Andy is done. I feel CC needs a spring training to re-invent himself. Hughes's problem is himself. He refuses to throw the 2 seamer. So that's it. You can't fix old and stupid

Kuroda hasn't needed help & Nova has been great since he came back up. So whatever his improvement has been he fixed it while he was in rehab.

How many are getting the Chicago feed tonight. Stone and Hawk were talking Yankees. Then the questioned turned to farm systems. The question, how many teams have productive farm systems right now? The next was how many have a pitcher and a catcher? Stone said 4, Hawk 5. Both said none to the second.

...glad someone gets it.

I'm just picturing Cano & Long in the film room looking at tapes.

Long: Okay Robbie now see the way your.....

Cano: Yo Kev, jew got any tequila mang?

Long: Yeah Robbie but then back to the films.

Long: Now look at your swing here, I think if you.....

Cano: Yo Kev, jew gots any chips?

Long: C'mon Robbie you have to take this seriously.

Cano: Yo Kev, I don need to do nuttin, ing goin to get mucho denero por my skippy to da bases.

To be continued.

At this point when I see Rothchild go out to the mound its become nothing but window dressing. Pettitte is done & Rothchild is no help to anyone.

You're MLB career is like an area 51. But hey who the hell am I to question a gold glove batting champion MVP like you. Sooooo, share with the rest of the class & tell us EXACTLY what is the job of a hitting coach & a batting coach?

You see we don't have the 1st hand knowledge that you do & we do so want to learn. So the floor is yours.

there are 2 very important aspects of this game.... coaches strategy, and players execution.. so why does girardi get a pass? u telln me every game you watch joe has a plan and the players fail at executin it, or are the players up at plate swingin out of their tucasses tryin to hit long ball every AB cause he doesn't have one.... and, would you be startin hughes ???????

Girardi has his faults... but the poor performance of this team cannot be attributed to him... the fact that he has managed to keep this rag tag group of scrubs in the hunt for as long as he did was quite remarkable actually... the poor performance of this team is squarely on the shoulders of the players... now ownership and the GM could have put together a better cast of characters, but you can't blame this team on Girardi... that is just stupid

Excellent post Hammer. As far as the EXACT function of a hitting coach & a pitching coach, I guess Mr. Uecker will never let us know.

so he gets the credit when this same team was in 1st place, but in your eyes not at fault for whats happening now....... lol , how many fookn times have u seen a coach say they are the boss ,they are responsible for everything that goes on on the field, its on me???? real coaches take on the responsiblity, have u ever heard blinky say this or is it, u know guys have bad days, we can't win them all, teams go through this, hemmeroids raging, sore throats, dog ate my stat sheets......

PSST! Hey Pasta, about the EXACT job & function of a hitting coach & a batting coach. We're all still waiting. You conveintlly seem to keep jumping over it. Not very nice Mr. Baseball. Please share your wisdom.

Again...................I'll wait.

Pasta, what would you have done differently given the issues that Girardi has had to face this year. What would you have done with 1 for 37 Ben Francisco, and the following cast of characters. The red signifies that they were either DFA's or just plain stunk. The Blue were injured. OK Pasta Torre, you are the manager, so if you are doing this sarcastically for a rise, fine. But if you are serious, consult a physician immediately...

C'mon Major, the guy is having a tough enough time just trying to come up with an explanation on what EXACTLY a pitching & hitting coach do, you really think he can LOGICALLY answer your post?

I think with Pasta you've got to keep the questions simple like......"How can a batter officially be credited with an RBI when officially he doesn't have an at bat?"

I think that is too complicated even

Hey Pasta listen I understand my question was a little to tough for you to answer. But don't take that shit from Major. He's got some pair challenging you like that. Really, don't let him get away with that. Go ahead let him know what you would have done differently if you were the manager. He has no idea who he's dealing with. I mean you being a former major league player he's got some nerve. Go on Pasta, you tell him.

And again.......................I'll wait.

...rick, it's not polite to pick on someone who's obviously mentally deficient.

This team is depressing enough Rick, you don't have to take on more.....
