I'm watching the Fiesta Bowl and just saw a commercial for a dating sight for blacks only.

Now, I can state with 100% certainty if any other dating site (match.com, Christian Mingle...) were to be white only they'd be sued, vilified, lose their license to do business and Jesse Jackson would shake them down for a few million.

Yet, it is 100% acceptable to have a blacks only dating site.

Why is this?

Maybe you should google before you post. There is a dating site for white people only. There is also a dating site for dwarfs only and a different one for little people. Instead maybe you should try and find a category of people that doesn't have a dating site and then create one for them.

Businesses can, however, orient and advertise to any demographic. There is nothing to stop me, a Jewish born atheist lesbian, from posting a profile on Christian Mingle. I don't because I know I'd be unlikely to find a match there.

It's not much different from advertising "black" hair care products. They are formulated for a hair texture African-Americans are more likely to have, but nothing would stop me from buying them if I want (which I don't because I use no scented products).

When you don't take the time to read all of a thread clearly you may not get the vibe of the thread. Read post 3 for instance. The outrage I had over Christian Mingle was that it wasn't around when I was single. All I would have needed to have an in with hot Christian MILFs was to lie about my religion. DONE!!!!!!
