Quick just said on 95.5 that Andre will finally move into the starting lineup and Blakey is gone to the bench.
But instead of Martell at SF, Rudy will be starting with Andre and Brandon. I hope this doesn't mean that Roy will be back guarding and playing SFs but who knows.

The team also only had 8 healthy players for practice today, and Nate and Monty had to suit up, but Nate injured himself.. and possibly his achilles. Ouch.

I like the lineup of Miller, Roy, Rudy, LA, and Oden. If true, I hope they kick some ass tomorrow night!

Sucks about Nate. Ouch! Has a coach ever coached a game on crutches before?

Isn't there some rule in the NFL or maybe in the NBA where you can't cut/fire a player while injured? So maybe Nate planned this injury to avoid the ax so many knowledgeable forum members are calling for? ;)

Just so weird why he's so obsessed with ONLY having Miller in as part of a three guard lineup...

Quick is making it sound like Miller is for sure starting tomorrow, but he's not so sure about Rudy.

Nate finally must've found the negatives and pictures that Blake had.

Well now we will see what Dre can do at the starting PG spot. Hopefully it works and all goes well but if not I will feel a lot better making a move at that point. I too wonder if Rudy is the 3 in the that line or Roy. If Roy is he will have the same problems he had before and they are setting Dre up for failure.

Today's first unit in practice was also Andre, Roy, Rudy, Dante and Joel.. only because Greg and LA are injured.

Yeah.. it is strange. We'll never see a lineup of Miller/Roy/Webster/Aldridge/Oden.

I not really worried about Oden's ankle only because he supposed rolled it in the first quarter then played the rest of a game in which he pulls down 20 boards. If thats the case then roll your ankle every game Big Guy!

hmmm... M*A*S*H* unit over there...hard to figure what's going on...

I wonder...if Batum hadn't been injured, would we have yet seen a Miller/Roy/Batum/Aldridge/Oden lineup? Does he use the three-guard lineup so much because he doesn't think much of Webster?

Well, I count this as very good news.

Keep checking back here Nate, we'll have more advice for you in the future. We are here for you, big guy.

Did anyone else just kind of get excited about a lineup of Miller, Roy, Batum, LaM and HCP?

Good point. I think if Nicolas was healthy, we would've seen that RAMBO unit I would think.. Nate probably just doesn't have much confidence Martell right now. I sense another change in the starting lineup eventually again if we go with Andre/Roy/Rudy..

Nah, I think he just wants to avoid having Blake, Rudy and Joel all out there on the floor at the same time with the second unit. I think there's a 2 white player on the floor at one time limit in the NBA. Hmm, maybe with foreigners, it doesn't count though?

I wonder if it was just to even out the units for practice? As opposed to having Andre, Roy and Martell on one side? I dunno.

I think Nate's preferred lineup would've been:

Blake
Ime
Martell
Brandon
Oden

Clearly, he's starting him so we can showcase him for a trade.

And he keeps yanking Martell around. I thought Tell played pretty good during the last few games.

I called this the day Roy came out with the statement that he is done worrying about others on teh court, he will be focusing on his game and how he can improve. He basically opened the door to Nate starting Miller, and as I suspected, Nate is going to jump on it.

This has always been about Roy. Posters put it on Nate (that's it's his call) and I agree with taht. But this is a leauge where players have had enough pull to have coaches fired . . . when your star isn't playing like he normally does and let's the reasons be known, it isn't easy to go against them.

Anyways, if Miller starts, this confirms to me that Roy has been controlling this decision and not Nate.

any update on LA? we arent beating anyone with cunningham.

#Blazers' Aldridge (right knee bone contusion) now listed as questionable for Saturday's game against #Rockets, according to Portland. #NBA

He is a game time decision, but Quick said he was jovial and appeared to be moving without and pain. Quick predicts he will play . . . Oden is more certain to play, but Quick expects LA will play too.

This injury has been lingering since early November...with nothing to go on other than an uninformed guess...my bet is he won't play.

And that's when I get my final confirmation that Nate needs to go. Do you think Phil Jackson let's Kobe tell him who to play? When to play them?

Do you really think that Doug Collins was calling all of the shots with Jordan?

Only if we could trade HCP for Chris Paul. Right now all he'd fetch is a used box of moist toilettes.
