I wonder if we could get Billy Beane to take over for Neil..... how much different could baseball be???

Multiple sources (of course it could be the same source repeat over and over again) suggest that the Blazers are still interested in Aaron Gordon.
e.g. https://fortyeightminutes.com/magic-aaron-gordon-nba-rumors/

Of course, the Blazers offered 2 1sts for him, and when rejected, we used them to get RoCo

Gordon, listed as a PF and SF makes 18.1 and 16.4 next year, and is currently 25 years old.

Unless additional Magic players were involved, a trade would likely look something like...
Gordon for DJJ + Hood + youngin (Trent, Ant, Little)

May deserved its own thread, but whatever.

unless what I read was wrong, I believe Portland can also still trade a first rounder, they would just have to get creative in the wording or whatever.

In the end neil olshey just signs a gleague players calls him the missing piece to the title.

Yeah we can offer any first rounder starting in 2023 with the stipulation that if the Rockets first gets pushed to 2027 because of us being in the lottery that entire time, the pick becomes a second rounder in 2028. That's what I read someone in here say but I don't think we can make trades involving picks as far out as 2028 so I think the stipulation of it becoming a second rounder would have to be in 2027 when the pick has to be conveyed to Houston.

Fun fact: Gordon has only played 20 games this season.
The Magic have played 39. I don't know if he's injured, covided, or what.

Man, why are the Blazers so cheap? If I’m a billionaire owner of the Blazers. I will do everything to help Dame and bring a ring to PDX

Because of the way it's worded and the fact it goes through until the end of the next 7 drafts and because we can't trade a 2028 pick (too far into the future) the only way we could currently word it is if it turned into nothing if not conveyed by 2027. Doubtful a team would accept those terms.

The more likely scenario would be to lessen or remove the protections of the pick we owe Houston in a separate deal with them. Like what we did to help Cleveland in 2017.

toss a pick in to seal the deal.
Fives minni a young core of nurk and trent, they can clear hoods salary after the season, etc.

I think this is a good move for both teams
They already have a young core of Towns, Russel, Beasley, McDaniels and Edwards. Why would they want to trade their best player for three guys who have trouble staying on the court and a one dimensional shooter?

because they suck and towns has been rumored to have been wanting out i thought?

A lot of rich people are cheap, that's how they got rich. Some rich people don't think they're rich enough, so they continue to be cheap.

this os true. When i went door to door selling the seattle times in jr high. It was the rich neighborhoods we avoided. The lower class neighborhoods always bought subscriptions.

“man he is tight with his money..

“how do you think he got all his money?”

Nurk aNd trent? ( as main pcs) Possible but based on the current contract salary, i thought that's decent.

Yeah, those guys really aren't that good. They're solid starters, but KAT is right up there with Embiid and Jokic when he's healthy.

I'm not sure how much value CJ would have for them because they have Edwards and Russell. The only chance you might have at getting him would be as part of a threeway.
Okay ill work on that tonight.
Ive decided i want KAT. Lol.
