Quick.... wizards most likely trading partner

Aldridge for Jamison and Haywood or Jamison and McGee? We can throw in Blake too. Aside from Nate, Aldridge is the weak link on this team. Jamison and McGee/Haywood would really solidify the frontline especially if we can keep Pendergraph and Cunningham. I have finally lost faith in LMA ever being what we need. If he can't coexist with OR without Oden on the floor then there is a problem and I don't want to hear about out of position play. I've seen Kindergartners who "get in the paint" more the LMA.

I'd also be interested in Caron if we could get him.

You don't trade Aldridge for a guy who might be in the league for maybe another year or two at most before he retires.

Well, you gave up on the team as a whole back in late November, so giving up on LMA now doesn't seem like a big worry.

He would have to be a "chunk" of a bigger trade. All we can do is "throw our lure" and see if the Wiz bite. The worst thing that happens is, nothing.

Oh, I agree, throw it out there and hope for the best. Throw in smaller prospects and hope something happens.

Well, not much has changed since then except for some real heart show by Bayless and Webster. Roy is finally back up to par, but Aldridge has clearly regressed. Your opinion means as much to me as mine does to you. ;).

Also it was post the soul crushing Oden injury and after having lost Trout which seems bigger after Oden then it did when he first went out. That was a brief loss of faith / overload of misery in regards to the team. My lack of faith in Aldridge has been a multi-year thing. I've noticed his best games are almost invariably losses for the team. The only game that made my heart go pitter patter this year for LMA was when he and Oden dominated. Of course that drove Roy nuts... :sigh:

Fair enough, I would rather gut the team for Lebron leaving PG Bayless, SG Rudy, SF LeBron, PF Pendergraph/Cunningham, C Oden.

Point is the biggest mistake aside from RLEC not being traded is clearly the monster Aldridge contract. So much for it inspirng him and making him feel supported or whatever.

He has, but he is also pretty banged up right now. I have been down on Aldridge as well. But I recognize he is hurt, and I also recognize that several players who were having fairly bad years have turned their games around in the weeks as chemistry has grown. Miller and Webster being prime examples.

I've always thought Webster could turn it around if he got his head on straight. Maybe they should send Aldridge to Webster's "mystery" trainer. Point is, Aldridge needs to step it up to justify that contract and he has been killing me recently. Also Aldridge not working with Oden was a mind blower for me, on paper those two were made for eachother. Roy and Oden will require a good coach (Adelman) or getting through to Greg that he needs to get off the block when Roy is looking to penetrate and follow Roy to the hoop instead of always setting up shop down low.

I still feel LMA is the most tradeable asset we have on the team. The Jamison thing was hyperbole to show that a broken down old man seems preferable atm. True that he is injured but that didn't stop Roy from dropping as many points as Kobe with 1/3 the shots.

Yea, but you know, there were a whole lot of players that weren't working well early season. Like most of the team. Blake was throwing doughnuts. Roy was scoring in the teens. Miller looked lost. Things are turning around.

To paraphrase to the point of meaninglessness a great quote from Darth Vader "I find your lack of lack of faith disturbing..." Just kidding. I actually find it inspiring.

I just haven't seen much go right recently in the world and when my escape from reality (Blazers) suddenly became MORE depressing then alot of reality that was about all I could take.

Been watching more games recently and love the heart from Bayless, Webster, Miller and the stepping it back up from Roy. I missed the Bucks game so I can't comment on that.

One guy I thought about but I don't think we can get, who I think would be a tremendous fit here, is Joaquim Noah. The Anti-Lamarcus.

That's certainly interesting. Love the motor, and the nasty attitude would be great if he and Bayless could infect their teamates. That said, chemistry would be a pretty major question mark. I feel like the team has the 1 thru 3 pretty well locked up and actually needs to send a couple guys at those positions to other teams. It's the 4/5 that look shaky. Barring some kind of crazy Canzano wet dream move for LeBron I think our focus should be on a hard nosed defender/rebounder with a back to the basket game who has range on the baseline to 10 or 12 feet. Preferably a 4/5 swingman. Not sure who that would be any ideas?

Untouchables: Roy, Batum, Oden (we wouldn't get even CLOSE to value for him due to injuries) and Bayless.

Hard to pry from my grasp: Rudy, Martell.

Trade bait: Miller, Blake, Outlaw and LMA (I know I've been dogging him but we SHOULD get value no Jamison trade *chuckle*)

Two guys I think Blazers have to value more then other teams are Cunninghame and Pendergraph. I see real solid lunchpail guys for our bench in those two. on the CHEAP.

NO chance of getting Noah. Our opportunity was probably a year and a half ago. But, most don't like to buy low, so at the time, it was easier to mock his stats and say he's ugly.

I would love to add more "nasty" to the team. But I agree with you. That is why I said I figured it wouldn't happen. Sometimes it is good to recognize guys who might fit your system, and dream a little.

Why would the Bulls part with him though? But you're right he is kind of like the anti-LMA, he's got zero offensive game and is basically a hyper-athletic version of Joel Przybilla.

Please note the "And I don't think we can get" part of my sentence!:devilwink:

Back to the title of the thread . . . aren't the Wizards everybody's most likely trading partner? Everyone assumes that with their payroll and win-loss record that they are in "dump" mode. I would guess there are several teams calling about Haywood, Butler, & Jamison.
