Quick writes about what everyone has been thinking but too afraid to admit

I'm curious, does anyone here think Pop would have draw up or been okay with a dribble for 5 seconds and then jack up a 30' shot at the buzzer? I've seen him get in Dunan's face, Parker's, Leonards etc. Good for Pop. Accountability.
As I said, you want your shot to go up at the buzzer. That's why he dribbled out the clock.

On to the next scapegoat!

Wasn't there a point last year, around that insane San Antonio game, where he was shooting like 50% in the 4th quarter?

I still maintain that Lillard needs to find his balance. He needs to become one with the force. He is dealing with becoming THE MAN, and he hasn't quite learned when he should and should not take over. I think this will change over time. He's still pretty young. I think if we had another legit weapon, he would feel more comfortable giving up the ball.
At one point, over several game, he was 13/18 in overtimes.

Too afraid to admit?? His shot selection has been the #1 thing that's been harped on besides his defense.

I get that Lillard has the right stuff when it comes to finishing games, at least he thinks he does even if he fails, which is a rare quality. It's fantastic if every once in awhile he pulls out a game in spectacular fashion. BUT, he hasn't shot the ball well over the last 2 years, no arguing with stats, and he has to choose better shots and get the team better shots if he is going to be the franchise player we want him to be.

He's fine. He just needs better teammates so he doesn't have to do everything. This team is a pile of shit.

Check out the posts above yours. There are a massive # of people (Stotts being one of them) who are seemingly ok with the shots he's taking.

I dont blame them. Its scary to admit

ALSO- when it's tied and the shot clock, you want to be sure you shoot at the buzzer. Overtime at worst. On NBA2K16, I lost a game because I shot too soon.

Also- Lillard's shot almost went in.
Live by three, die by the three. No regrets and no looking back.

Bullshit. He hit the same shot over OKC last year. He hit a bunch of clutch shots in 2OT game against Spurs last year. He even drilled long threes at the end of a win this year (Clippers game?) Jordan missed lots of clutch shots in his career. Bound to happen when you take so many. Nothing to see here.

Nobody complained about the shot that was done in Cleveland from the tip of the C near center court. That's cause it went in.

None of you complained. That was a 30 footer too!

It's really sad. Some people just like perspective. lol.

I am getting sick of arguing about Dame with my friend. But as he points out 6 assists to 4 turnovers is hardly good. As is 8 of 20 shooting, nightly. But, here's the thing. I am such a fan of Dame, that he could break my windows, steal my vintage Donny Hathaway albums and I wouldn't care.... that's unhealthy, isn't it???

I blame this all on Steph Curry...he makes all those ridiculous shots from 35 ft off balance.....those must take a lot of practice..Dame is a hard worker...he wants to be better than Steph Curry:)

Where is the love?

Look at his overall numbers in the 4th quarter. As much as we hate Quick, that dude rides Dames cock hellla times and sweats the shit out of him, but he actually provided more evidence than that game winner attempt against Dallas. But his overall numbers in the 4th quarter is trash this year (which is a good thing since this year is a wash anyways) but its nothing close to "Lillard Time"

He needs to tape his damned fingers back together already!

This all only came about after the Dallas game and quick was on talking ball and all he could talk about was that last possession. I mean really we are talking about one possession that sparked all this. Yeah it was a bad shot but I don't see a big deal here. Look at the surrounding cast here. Yeah he's not shooting well from three due to his finger nail and last season his fingers got banged up, other than that, that's his shot. Would you rather aminu take it? Gerald Henderson? McCollum is about the only other person on the team I would feel comfortable taking a last second shot on this team even on a set play. I'm not even obsessed with the idea of lillard time. Yes the .9 shot was amazing but it's not blinding me. Dames gotta do what he's gotta do. He averages 25 and 7 this year. He's become a better passer. Puts up a lot of shots and percentage is eh but other than that what more do you expect?

By the way, I stand by the fact we should of kept batum and put our money elsewhere because I feel like aminu is another one of those players again. It's a bad situation that scares me more than this stupid lillard one.

What's funny is you guys don't think Lillard is aware of this and is driven to do better. Did any of you follow him on social media during the off season? He didn't take a day off. He works his ass off. He is very aware of his shooting and is working hard to improve.

I mean some of you just post the goofiest shit.

Some of you act like Lillard doesn't care or doesn't want to improve. Or shooting better is a switch you can turn on and off.

So True, Lillard is the first to admit what he did wrong, what he needs to do better, and put in work. His defense has improved and his assists are up, two of his biggest knocks for example. Things have changed significantly this year from last, let's give him some time to adjust shall we?

MANNNNNNNN I feel you on those damn 3 pointers. The guy thinks he's Steph Curry out there, I dont know how many times Ive said in the game threads STOP SHOOTING 3s! I wish he would limit them to about 3 a game or unless hes WIDE OPEN then fine but for the most part everything else about his game is fine even his defense is getting slightly better
I said it a lot last game and in a few others and only a few posters chimed in to agree. I love Dame but he's not perfect and his attempt at end of game launching ridiculous length 3 heroics needs to END in conjunction with the ISO ball stuff.

Pretty baffling, flashbacks to Sarge.

Thank god Quick is around to point out what Lillard is doing wrong.
