Do you think Jody is keeping ticket prices artificially low? If they raise prices they lower demand which would be fewer sales and potentially less total money.

NBA teams don't avoid raising prices because they are friendly or nice, they do it because not raising prices can earn them more money. Raising prices to a point can harm total revenue.

I'd love for them to try #3. The Blazers should do all they can to maximize revenue. If it was a different owner, I'd be very willing to pay a hell of a lot more. Think of it another way - I'm very hesitant to hand over cash to the current Blazers ownership. Never felt that way with Paul Allen.

personally, i think my couch is more comfortable anyway, so it wouldnt bother me if they raised all of that. but the people who love going to the games probably wont be able to if that happens.

Tickets have been going up the last couple years while the team has got worse. Sounds like your measuring stick is that you want the product to get better, inflation to not exist, and demand be ignored.

I'll be thrilled if we get an ownership group that invests in the team and more importantly, runs it well; even if that means increased prices. I bet many would agree me with.

I was happy with Paul as an owner since I was a fan of the team back to 1989. I'm a fan of the majority of NBA ownership groups. Why would I be unhappy with a new ownership group?

NBA teams have been raising prices on everything every year. Especially if they have a superstar or two. One year it could be, I dunno, $100 for a ticket. The next year, they acquire a big name and now that same exact ticket is $200. No big name and that ticket is now $115. Just keeps on rising. And they do it because they just want to. Not that they *need* to.
