Which will be more prevalent in this coming year? We have the race wars with the Treyvon Martin shooting. Or the Occupy Wall Street looks to make its come back when the weather gets warmer and the hippies start camping in the streets again?

I don't think Obama can campaign and suck up to both movements, or can he? I don't think Amurrica has the attention span to dedicate to both movements.

so the occupoo people will just kind of go away? will they not organize again?

The idea that there is a race war is silly. I can see how it could be a campaigning ploy though for this desperate Republican field.

You don't think there is an impending race war with this Treyvon thing? the voices and shouting will become louder and louder.

here's a hint: its not coming from the Republicans. Race wars inspire white guilt, which will drive more votes for Obama.

i cant pick what i like more, war, poverty, or racism, thank god we have the gop to give us all 3 at once!

I thought it was interesting that you and Papa were the only ones to mention racism in the Zimmerman thread

well, us and all the media and protests about this being about racism. the point being is if you are defending Zimmerman, the "obvious" conclusion is you are racist, so its a bit pre-emptive, so to speak. the majority of our arguments were based on facts and evidence. the media has been trying to paint Zimmerman as a white guy, when he really isn't.

I don't see any race war stuff. I do see the left continuing to promote class warfare, but that's been their sound bite for the last 20 years or so. Especially if the Supreme Court overturns Obamacare. There will be a lot of fear mongering going on.

As far as the right, I think they'll hit hard on the economy, housing... things like that.

I thought Zimmerman was a german name. My understanding was that he could be heard saying "coon" on the 911 call.

interesting indeed

"the left is making this about race!"

yeah, but you would be wrong:

Despite the other multiple witnesses who said Zimmerman was on top of Trayvon, that one of the detectives actually tried to correct a witness' statement when she said it was Trayvon, not Zimmerman, crying for help (the detective told her no, she was wrong, it was Zimmerman despite that detective not being there).

Despite the 911 calls where you can hear Trayvon crying in the background for his life, despite Trayvon's girlfriend being on the phone with him when Zimmerman started to stalk Trayvon. Despite Zimmerman calling Trayvon a well known racial slur against Black people on his own 911 call (I dare you to argue that it is anything but what it was, I dare you to be that anti-Black, EP).

Despite the police not testing Zimmerman for any type of drugs or alcohol in his system (but ha, they sure were quick to have Trayvon's body tested).

Ah, to be so anti-Black you defend a stalking child-killer.

What a wonderful world.

None of which answers the thresh-hold question: why did Zimmerman even initiate this whole mess? Why did he follow some random kid who was just walking on a public sidewalk? Would he have done the same to a white kid?

I just worry about my family and myself. The rest of you bitches can suck it!

It's shocking that even today people continue to hate people for their different backgrounds. And that we worry about fixing problems in other countries, helping the needy their while ignoring our own at home.

So far, right now the buzz topics for the election year are:

Gas Prices
Race relations
Class warfare
Unemployment
Housing Market
Healthcare
Economy

anything else?

things that aren't as relevant: Terrorism, illegal immigration, Banking/Financial Collapse and Green Energy.

What the hell? Members of Congress were saying it was a hate crime. That's implying racism. To not comment on it seems like putting your head in the sand.

TheSebastianExpress basically called me a white supremacist, or at least I think that was the point she was trying to make. I still haven't figured that one out. Something about Georgia?

could not be determined.

He says "punks", or at least it sounds a lot more like "punks" than "coons". There is slowed down audio all over the internet illustrating it.

God, we're a nation of morons, beginning with the President.

ObamaCare is going to be an issue, no matter what the USSC decides on it.

I know some dems have been stumping Florida telling them the right wants to do them harm (related to SS)... The usual hate type stuff.

But closely related to your list may be SS & Medicare reform. The budget deficit and national deficit may be issues.

None of that crap really matters to me right now.

The only issues I'm voting on are the erosion of my civil liberties..

Patriot Act, Gun control, DHS/TSA, Government surveilliance of citizens,SuperPacs...these are my enemies and I will vote for whomever dares to take them on. Regardless of their leanings on other issues.
