Trumps rhetoric is clearly nationalistic. Race vs religion does not excuse it.

Um, what is your beef? He is running for President of the United States. That is a nation. He is not running for the position of Secretary General of multinational organization.

I don't see anything to excuse.

Splitting hairs over whether Muslims are or are not a race when talking about Trump's hateful bigotry is asinine. The man is a David-Duke-style White Supremacist, a Capital-S-Sexist, and a Capital-B-Bigot. His rhetoric is of hate and in-group dominance over out-groups of all sorts. He's a fascist, an authoritarian, and a nationalist. The man is Stalin-level dangerous, the people who support him are dangerous, and if elected we will become the Great Satan ISIS needs us to be.

This is just for laughs though: http://gawker.com/thousands-of-supporters-raise-their-right-hands-in-devo-1763086456

Why don't you take a crack at the question I ask dviss.

Question for you about this story or doctrine, what ever it is. How would you characterize this the motive behind this story?

I'm still trying to figure out how a religion equates to being a race..... It makes no sense. Many races are Muslim, and many races are Christian.... so you guys that are drawing some sort of conclusion, get off the mat, and wise up.

The man is a Black Panther-style Black Supremacist, a Capital-S-Sharia Lawyer, and a Capital-B-Bigot. His rhetoric is of gun confiscation and anti-Christian attacks of all sorts. He's a fascist, an authoritarian, and a nationalist. The man is Stalin-level dangerous, the people who support him are dangerous, and if elected we will become the Great Satan Osama Bin Laden needs us to be.

Tweaked it a little to bring back stuff I heard the last 2 elections.

I personally have never seen or met more racist people than Liberals and Leftist Democrats. Just my experience.

BLM, a product of the Left, is just as racist as the KKK. Same shit, different people.

Wow... so BLM has been burning crosses in the middle of streets and hanging white people?

Muslims aren't a fucking race. It's a god damned religion. Just as Christians are a religion. Get that through your damn thick skull bro. It's not parsing words, its a fact, look it up!

Your whole position is that he's racist because he's anti-muslim. That makes no fucking sense.... and you're just trying to jump to conclusions to support your anti-Trump stance.

For an example, your position is like saying "I don't like Christians, therefor I am a racist".

Did your brain allow you to absorb what I just posted at all? I don't think it did.

Um, what is your beef? He is running for President of the United States. That is a nation. He is not running for the position of Secretary General of multinational organization.

I don't see anything to excuse.

His speeches channel Adolph.

There is everything to be concerned about him.

President of the United States is president of ALL the people, including immigrants. The guy talks about mexicans like adolph talked about jews. That parallel is undeniable.

Same as why there are so many Christians.

The better question is, what are the race distribution of Muslims around the globe?
So you've never met a Jewish Christian I guess...there are blurred lines between nationality, ethnic background, culture and religion...in English, you should say Persian or Jewish,Arab or Tribesman...but Donald Trump grew up in fucking New York City...he knows the neighborhoods, temples, mosques, churches...this is a silly argument...fact is when it comes to Trump you could just simplify and say...he doesn't trust foreigners period..unless they are models

Dang, the libs are resurrecting Hitler again and the fools are biting.

How many people have the BLM kids lynched? What a fucking stupid thing to say.

Really? Go see what they're saying about white people, then get back to me. If you think they wouldn't hesitate to lynch a white person if they could get away with it, then you're delusional.

Wow... so BLM has been burning crosses in the middle of streets and hanging white people?

You're right. Instead, they're killing police officers and advocating violence against Law Enforcement. Not to mention looting and rioting whenever they get butthurt over something.

I can only hope that Trump's form of Nationalism is as successful as the previous man that aspired to make America great again. Same phrase new leader.
https://sites.google.com/site/theballadofronaldreagan/nationalism

This baloney about Nationalism being Hitler like is bogus boogie man talk. Just because National Socialist had the word National in it doesn't make Hitler a Nationalist.
The asshole wanted to be far more, he wanted to be dictator of the world. Fortunately we only let him begin before we objected. Only the seriously handicapped (perhaps it's a brain fart)
see a parallel in Trump//Hitler. Looks more like Trump//Reagan to me. Certainly no beginnings of a world dictator.

Is this a credible source?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/...The-Nationalism-of-Trump-Descends-from-Reagan

Anyway, I am not the only one that sees Reagan, not Hitler.

Not a credible source.

There are similarities between Reagan and Trump. Both took on the republican establishment. Both were in the entertainment field.

Beyond that, I don't see much.

Reagan was the opposite of Trump.

I never saw nationalism in his speeches and writings. I saw him saying americans were great, workers are great, the heroes of the nation are the mine workers, etc. Not, "americans are superior" and certainly not anti-immigrant or biased against people of certain religions.

From his first inaugural address:

Well, this administration's objective will be a healthy, vigorous, growing economy that provides equal opportunities for all Americans, with no barriers born of bigotry or discrimination. Putting America back to work means putting all Americans back to work. Ending inflation means freeing all Americans from the terror of runaway living costs. All must share in the productive work of this "new beginning," and all must share in the bounty of a revived economy. With the idealism and fair play which are the core of our system and our strength, we can have a strong and prosperous America, at peace with itself and the world.

...

We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are not heroes, they just don't know where to look. You can see heroes every day going in and out of factory gates. Others, a handful in number, produce enough food to feed all of us and then the world beyond. You meet heroes across a counter, and they're on both sides of that counter. There are entrepreneurs with faith in themselves and faith in an idea who create new jobs, new wealth and opportunity. They're individuals and families whose taxes support the government and whose voluntary gifts support church, charity, culture, art, and education. Their patriotism is quiet, but deep. Their values sustain our national life.

Now, I have used the words "they" and "their" in speaking of these heroes. I could say "you" and "your," because I'm addressing the heroes of whom I speak—you, the citizens of this blessed land. Your dreams, your hopes, your goals are going to be the dreams, the hopes, and the goals of this administration, so help me God.

...

Well, I believe we, the Americans of today, are ready to act worthy of ourselves, ready to do what must be done to ensure happiness and liberty for ourselves, our children, and our children's children. And as we renew ourselves here in our own land, we will be seen as having greater strength throughout the world. We will again be the exemplar of freedom and a beacon of hope for those who do not now have freedom.

NOT ONE sentence about american superiority or nationalistic anything. If we are the best we can be, we will be an example for the rest of the world to see.

Reagan actually was a governor before he was president. Trump has never held public office
