<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">An attorney for Trail Blazers forward Zach Randolph entered a not guilty plea to a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants/controlled substance at Randolph's arraignment Tuesday at the Justice Center.
Randolph, with the Blazers for today's 1 p.m. game in Detroit, waived his appearance before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Clifford L. Freeman. Attorney Douglas Stringer appeared on his behalf and entered his plea.
Randolph was arrested Dec. 2 after police pulled over his Cadillac sport utility vehicle at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Prescott Street for failure to drive within a lane. After pulling him over, police reported they smelled marijuana coming from the car.
Randolph initially was charged with DUII, failure to drive within a lane, having no Oregon driver's license and having no insurance.
The latter two charges were dropped Tuesday. No court date has been set for the remaining charges.</div>
