Thanks, hopefully everything will go smoothly.</div>

I have tons of Russian friends, and they all say it is nice. I would assume it is. Can you bring me those Cup things. The old lady with an older lady inside of her, I don't remeber what they are called...Nesting Dolls, those would be cool. Or maybe a USSR shirt, that says CCCP.

Have a good trip though.

I remember those, haven't seen them in a while. I have to ask my mom what they're for, do they represent something, or are they just there to be decorative?

I think they are decorative, but I'm not to sure. I just think they are cool. A good place to hide your weed is what I always thought of them as.

It was prolly one of those "tests"

It's been raining non-stop around here, but it's nice and cool outside so I cant complain too much.

<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I don't agree with you there, M. Love is different to everyone, you can't tell someone that they aren't in love. Everyone's feelings are different.</div>

Of course I agree it is different to everyone, but that's not what I wrote about. Love isn't something that is thrown around from person to person. Once it hits you, you don't lose it. You can also always believe you love someone, but it could actually be obsession or one of many other things. Believe me though, as young teens nobody understands. They can always argue about it, but that's typical of the young heart and mind.

I love Psychology. lol

Anyway, I'm not insulting anyone.

I was watching the 1996 Dream-Team vs. the Collegiate USA Select Team (22 and under) game from 1996 on NBA TV and it was a great game. The Dream Team was losing by 17 points (!!) at one point, and in the 2nd half they COMPLETELY shut down the college players and took over the game.

The thing that stood out for me was the fact that Tim Duncan kept getting rejected everytime he went to the rim by The Dream (Hakeem). Hakeem pretty much blocked everyone who went to the rim as far as I saw...and not only that, he altered a shitload of shots as well.

It was wierd seeing some of the talent on the select team. Chancey Billups was the back-up guard to Brevin Knight. Anthony Parker was on the team as well, as was Paul Pierce, Austin Croshere and Brian Skinner. The best player from that in the game was Shea Seals, of whom I've actually never heard of. He was shooting the lights out though.

When the Dream Team was down 17, it was because of Gary Payton, Scottie Pippen and Hakeem that they crawled back into the game. Payton was making the defense stops needed and doing a good job of initiating the offense. It's amazing how much his defensive game has fallen off now, because in that game he had over 5 great defensive plays just in the couple of minutes of the second half as DT started its comeback.

Yeah, there is already a thread about that in the football forum.

I just found out the dude from Superbad who was also in Arrested Development went to my high school. Pretty cool.

<div class="quote_poster">kobimel Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Anyway, I had my first practice of the season yesterday. The time was great, 1:15-2:15 PM, but nobody was really fit (including me) so the practice was very hard despite the fact that I could usually do it easily when I'm 100% fit. We had to run 15 minutes before practice (no airconditioning!!!), which is usually pretty easy for me but it was surprisingly hard. Then we had simple lay up drills (2 players, 4 passes across the court horizontally, finish with a layup at the other end), but I couldn't even finish the drill (nearly nobody could actually). I did the best I could, but I knew I was about to throw up so I stopped playing. I threw up, and skipped the 3 on 3. Joined the practice again only in the 5 on 5 games up to 7 points. That's what I get for sleeping around 13 hours in two days (not THAT bad but after getting used to sleeping 19-21 hours in two days, it's tough) and eating yogurt for breakfast 15 minutes before the practice.</div>

I remember back in 8th grade me and two of my friends got the bright idea to have a few drinks before basketball practice. Me and one of the other guys only had a shot or two but the other guy filled up a coke can with whiskey and downed it while we walked back to school. Needles to say he was f*cked up real bad, I'm sure our coach knew too but he didn't say anything, he only went for about 5 minutes before he sat out the rest of practice out and threw up a few times.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On another subject, a lot of 90's pop is amazing. I just grew up on it, so I love it. It's more a generational thing than anything. I know it's not great music, but from ages 5-15 or so I listened to top 40 radio. Bands like Third Eye Blind, Semisonic, New Radicals, Smash Mouth, Beck, the Verve, Ace of Base, etc. Hell, even **** like Usher and Alanis Morisette will spark nostalgia. Good times.</div>

Agree, I remember one time a year or so ago being with my cousin and Ace of Base came on and we were all pumped because we hadn't heard it in like 10 years. Dunno why but all the stuff from the 90's seems glorified to me too, even despite its extreme corniness.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I love blocking big guys. I'm 6'0 with a 23 standing leap, so when guys turn around, I jump full up and block their stuff out of bounds. I love it.</div>

Same. I'm 5'10, don't know what my vertical is but I'm sure its horrible. Most of the time I'm just playing pickup games and the big ass dudes have no technique so its not hard at all to stuff their ****. Still fun though because everyone oooo's and ahhh's.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In our league, we had a guy who was nearly 6'3 in 8TH GRADE. He was HUGE, and I had to guard him. Wasn't really talented though, he had a decent shot but no post moves. I even blocked him once (I was around 5'9, not much of a vertical back then so it was a big accomplishment).</div>

My friends brother is an incoming freshman and a few centimeters short of 6'9 (this is as of last November BTW so he may be even bigger now). I played tackle football with him the last two Thanksgivings and the dude is a flat out beast, he was 6'7 the first time I played him, almost 6'9 the following year. Dude looks like hes about 29 too and hes a very good athlete for his size. From what I heard he completely dominated the basketball league he played in but I don't think hes actually that good. I'm sure I'd kick his ass if I ever played him one on one but he should get some great coaching now in our high school and he'll probably end up being a beast.

Back in 8th grade I had to play PF/C on defense half the time (I'm a PG on offense) because we had only a few guys big enough to matchup with other teams "bigs". Even though I played PG and was the size of your average 8th grade SG/SF I could play defense and rebound like a beast so I had to defend a lot of the huge guys on the other teams. I remember this one game going up against this giant tongan dude, must have had me by 4-5 inches and 50 pounds and I completely dominated him. They kept pounding it to him expecting him to have a great mismatch advantage but he never scored on me the entire game (they never called fouls either luckily lol) and I probably outrebounded him by a huge margin as well. Thats just another case of a big guy who doesn't actually know what hes doing though, I'm sure I'd be owned by any guy 2 inches taller than me if they were coached well.

Good advice on that saltwater thing, worked like a charm.

I don't think I've ever been so stoked for football season.

I just bought a 10 pack of Vitamin water. I feel like 50 Cent.

In other news, my car was one of the many robbed in my neighborhood. This is the second time it's happened with in a few months. They stole a few of my mom's CD's only. The cops better get on this case.

I don't understand how people find Jay-Z's voice listenable. He's got a terrible, terrible voice IMO. Say what you say about Kanye, but his flow is sick.

Jay Z's voice isn't that bad. Eminem has a sick voice though. Lil Boosie has the worst voice in rap history though.

Lil Boosie? Is he the ass clown that sings that song, beat that ***** up?

Eminem's voice is decent sometimes and sometimes he sounds like he's going through puberty (and I'm a huge Eminem fan).

I know a lot of people love Jay's voice, I just can't do it though. He ruins every track for me that he features on. There are very few Jay songs that I like.

I don't think so. I know he sings "Zoom" and "Wipe Me Down".

Jay's voice is different...but it doesn't cause me to dislike his music.

None. Did you know you can get an STD from public pools and water parks? If someone has an STD and they cut themselves and you get contaminated with it...you're screwed. And then you factor in all the piss in that water, all the spit, it's just nasty. Do you have any friends with pools? I'd recommend that over a water park any day.

after months of calling Lupe Fiasco aight I'm really trying to listen to a lot of his material that I haven't heard..........

I'm not an expert in this area and I do believe you can pick up certain things from public pools, but I believe the chlorine helps fight a lot of things...

so I guess this helps my Hakeem > Duncan argument

Dude, that's just being paranoid. You've got to live your life and not care about those things. You've got just as good of a chance to get in a car wreck, get mugged, etc. Water parks are the ****. I haven't been to one in about two or three years though.

Anyway, I'll be off JBB for a few weeks starting on Friday. I'll be headed down to Tulane to start classes and practice. As far as I know, they don't know about my recent legal situation.

^^^OUTLAW, lol.

yeah Lupe = meh ..... his lyrics aren't that great, his flow can be annoying sometime, and he needs a better ear for beat selection
