Do any of you guys know of any good online Mens clothing stores? I'm after some new t-shirts to wear for when I go out clubbing, but the selection in shops here is crapola. I dont care where the sites are located (which country), I just got a debit card, so I'm sweet to buy from anywhere.

Jay-Z has always been about the dollar, and Nas jumped onto the mainstream bandwagon with 'Stillmatic'. Both are great lyricists, dont get me wrong, but they dont represent what true Hip-Hop is all about, which brings me to the next point...</div>

eventhough both have aimed for mainstream success in their careers (Nas failed miserably with Nastraudamus) I wouldn't say that they aren't "hip hop"....to be honest you can't say who "is" and "isn't" hip hop......I can say that someone is wack and a disgrace to the culture, but I can't say someone "isn't" hip hop.....and I definitely wouldn't say Nas or Jay z aren't hip hop when they've been some of the most influential MCs in the game...and how did he sell out with Stillmatic?????

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Guys like Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, DMX, Dr. Dre, The Game, Snoop Dogg etc. etc. rap about killing people, having sex with women and living large, simply as a means to make a quick buck. No thought or heart goes into their music, some exceptions can be made, dont get me wrong, but their basic message is "pay me". That my friend, is the difference between the 2.</div>

You can't say just because they rap about things that aren't socially conscious that they aren't hip hop..if that's the case then Scarface, Ice Cube, Kool G. Rap, Big Pun, Biggie, Pac, and Big L aren't hip hop either....I'd argue that a lot of thought and heart went into albums like The Infamous, Reasonable Doubt, Marshall Mathers LP, It's Dark and Hell is Hot, etc.....nothing wrong is wanting to get payed for the music you make as long as you don't let allow it to be the main driving force behind making your music.....I understand that some of the people you listed have fallen off and are money hungry, but I still don't believe you can say someone "isn't" hip hop.

I agree.

Nas sold out with Stillmatic? Everybody knows that his comeback record.

Hip hop is more than just meaningful songs about the problems of the world. What problems or struggles of the world was Rakim rapping about on Paid in Full? Hip hop can branch into many different types of rap, gangsta, dance, mainstream, in between, it's ALL apart of the hip hop culture.

I'm finally going to start watching college football. Almost everyone I know loves college football, but I've never gotten into it for whatever reason. Anyways, I'm going to watch my first college football game in like 5 years today. Hopefully USC can have a great season...

I just bought an XBOX 360 earlier today. I've got to say the graphics are awesome, and Forza 2 is a sweet game. Reminds me of Grand Turismo for Playstation and PS2. The gameplay and graphics are so realistic, and I think I'm going to go out and buy the wheel for it.

Anyone else have a 360 with some games to recommend? I really want Guitar Hero II, because I got addicted to the the PS2 version.

Get NBA 2K7 to tide you over until 2K8 comes out. Get Fight Night Rd 3, get Saints Row, Just Cause, Dead Rising, Gears of War, Transformers, Def Jam Icon and NBA Homecourt.

But hey, depends on what games you like!!!

Yo, I went to a room in my room and this huge green grasshopper is there. I didn't even know they existed uptown.

I'm in the mood for a hip hop album with a lot of scratching. Anybody got any recommendations?

What's scratching? I think maybe Paid In Full for that.
dunno.gif

Otherwise, I'd with with The Marshall Mathers LP.

Oh, I guess Paid In Full is one of the best albums for that.

wikka wikka... that's my lame attempt to describe it over the internet.

lol. How can you be reccomending albums like Paid In Full and not know what scratching is?

I was down in Toronto today, and passed Leslie street, and immediately thought of this:

Invalid Video Link

"That's right, John goes both ways"

Those are real street names by the way...all you Toronto people should be able to relate.

So when is JBB going to create an official JBB NBA fantasy draft thing?

I say it should be soon so we can do the live draft and have as many ppl in it as we can. Should be fun if we have like a LOT of ppl.

Designated driving = suck. Must have blown about 25 dollars worth of gas driving people around all night whilst being sober (can't put a price tag on that).
