Re: Random Thought Thread

When is Kanye West not pissed?

Re: Random Thought Thread

yeah his performance was pretty good...dude can dance his ass off

God knows I love my homeboy but I just don't get him.....he quit college, for whatever reason and has a full time job working at a rent-a-car place...now he's deciding to pack up and move to Dallas to work at an airport.....I just don't get it....he's smart and I'm sure he could find something that interests him in school if he gave it a little more time, but I guess he's alright making minimum wage........it would be one thing if he had plans to do something else, but he doesn't......he could opt to stay here and live with his parents (his dad makes good money) and work, but this dude is deciding to move all the way to Dallas for just a plain jane job.....I want to get together with my homie to have a talk with dude.

K, maybe not. But the ump ruled him safe before he touched the plate.

End of the 6, Yankees down 5-1.

Re: Random Thought Thread

Dallas is a nice city. I wouldn't mind living there. Would rather live in Austin, Amarillo,or San Antonio, but its better than Houston at least.

Also, the VMAS is kind of pathetic, eh? What happened to all the scheduled performers? A lot of people seemed to ditch the VMAS, and not do their announced performances.

a few minutes ago a guy I work with walks in my office and starts talking about his obsession with light skinned black girls with "good" hair....he's done it before, but for some reason today it really bothered me....he described a group of females that he met last night and was saying something to this effect of "yeah all those light skinned black girls came in and they had the good hair...you know the really light caramel ones....but then they had a black...I mean a dark black friend....BUT she looked good to".........this shit is way too common....it amazes me that people still get fixated over a persons shade of skin to the point where they have to put down someone else....

To me, that's a different kind of putdown though (Like when NTC said Avril was hideous). I don't think that guy is necessarily racist, he may just be commenting on what he finds attractive (just like when people who are too white skinned get made fun of).

Ah yes, that whole "ref" thing on those pages did sound somewhat insensitive (although everyone here should know I try to not use that word unless necessary).

Re: Random Thought Thread

I think DREAM is being a bit to sensitive. Just because he found a darius miles type dark chick unattractive doesn't make him racist, does it? Personally, I'm not attracted to black girls, at all. There are some pretty ones, but I'm not attracted to them..same goes for Asian broads. I like White and Latina chicks, it's just my thing. That guy has his thing, and you have your thing.

God damn, Throwback by Royce bumps hard.

what bothers me even more is when people are extremely discriminant period, and think that it's okay just as long as it's not racially.

i agree with you tho, discrimination sucks. and it's everywhere.

but it doesn't seem like the dude was tryin to be racist at all, it seems more like he was tryin to say his type of girl has "light caramel" skin. he probably just isn't into girls with skin that dark, they must not be attractive to him (totally not that way with me--this girl at work, big booty big boobs, dark as hell, and hot as hell). i don't see any problem with that...some guys complain about girls with "pasty white" skin, they just like their girls a little darker. it's just about their preference.

of course, with all that said, i don't know your coworker at all, and it's possible he could have been thinking racist. i just like to keep an open mind about people.

Re: Random Thought Thread

Actually got to watch some of the VMAS. Not sure what the fascination with Vegas is, NBA with Stern, and now MTV with the VMAS. ITs just not that successful of a market, a place like Chicago or LA would be more appropriate if you want it out of New York.

Even worse about Vegas is how it kept people with committed relationships away it seemed.

Looking at the performers list: 50 Cent, Akon, C-Lo, Chris Brown, Common, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Daniel Merriweather, Rihanna, Mark Ronson, Soulja Boy, Britney Spears, Timbaland, T-Pain, Kanye West.

What kind of performance list is that? Its horrible, and hardly represents the music of the past year.

Notable omissions from the VMAS/performances:

Chris Daughtry- Its Not Over & HomeAvril Lavigne- Girlfriend and When You're GonePlain White T's- Hey There DelilahShop Boyz- Party Like a RockstarMIMS- This is Why I'm HotBeyonce ft- Irreplaceable, Beautiful LiarGwen Stefani- The Sweet Escape and 4 in the MorningCarrie Underwood- When He Cheats

And was it just me, or were they censoring a ton of crap during the performances?

QUOTE (JfizzleRaider)

So I'm off to Vegas on Sunday. Pretty crazy, 1st time I'll be there where I can go crazy and gamble/drink/go to the clubs. Should be quite the interesting trip if I do say so my self. I'm going with a bunch of friends so we should have a great time. Everything seems cool except for the plane ride, yeah I'm terrified of flying in planes. So I can pretty much assure myself I'm going to have an anxiety attack up in the air which sucks. Just something about knowing if something was to happen while in the air, you can pretty much kiss your life goodbye scares me. I know more people die in cars every year, but I feel more comfortable feeling like I have control when I'm driving on the freeway.

Have fun man!!!

Plain White T's does not deserve to be on that list, Hey there delilah has been out for like 2 years now. Its crazy how its just becoming popular now, especially since they released another cd containing the song I really really reallydont like you or whateversince the Hey There Delilah CD

Re: Random Thought Thread

Me and my friend were walking through the park to the shops today, when she saw a crow about 30-40 metres away, and was talking about how funny they look when they walk, lol, then as we approached it closer, we saw it was actually trying to attack this massive f***ing snake! It looked like it was only a python, but I still didnt want to get too close to it, lol. It was huge, probably about 6ft long and like 9-10 inches in girth.

Re: Random Thought Thread

Umair, yeah I know what fobs are, it's the same thing as refs.

Hue, by "smells like", I mean that they have the authentic "indian/back home" smell to them...which means they'll smell like Indian food. I'm not even joking, people walk by you and you can smell curry on them.

I went to a wedding of a family friend's last night, and it was an open bar. So there's like 10 of my pretty tight friends, like we've known each other since we were 11, and while people are slow dancing after the bide and groom's first dance, we head to the open bar and stay there until the dance floor opens lol. We literally covered 75% of the bar, and kept having shot after shot of...I don't even know what we had but everyone was gone. My tolerance is actually much higher now than when I first used to drink, and I was just tipsy yesterday while others were completely GONE. My friend, who was the brother of the bride, had to give a speech, but him being an idiot decided to have like 4 extra shots before he went up. So he goes up there, says "everything is cool man" (or something to that extent, I don't remember that part, just started laughing during it), and stalls with "um"'s and "yeah"'s and leaves to a confused crowd. The dance floor was crazy though...if there's one group of people who know how to dance like crazy at a wedding, it's punjabi people.

The funniest thing was that one of my friends was so smashed that when he was peeing in a bush, he actually fell forward while peeing and landed on his own pee LOL. I wasn't there for that, but one of my friends had to drag and pick him up out of the bush. Good times.

Re: Random Thought Thread

I have to enter x = sin^3 (t) on my calculator. Not sure how to do it when its like that. I only know how to do regular sin on a Ti-89. Anyone know how?

Or is there a trigometric identity that switched that into something else that is able to be inputed in the calculator?
