Yo Mike, I said the same thing yesterday or the day before in this thread. I hate that channel.

"Almost as annoying are all those vH1 list shows, especially the top songs of the 90's. Who the hell determines those lists, and who the hell decided to put so much garbage like the Backstreet Boys, U2, N'SYNC, etc. at the top? It's okay if you do that, but then don't randomly throw in legitimate artists like Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. Even more annoying are the commentaries from washed up one-hit wonder gimmicks and unfunny "comedians" that no one's ever heard of. "N'SYNC was revolutionary. They're without a doubt the most influential and talented act of our age," says Sir-Mix-a-Lot"

Good minds think alike. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was a good choice, but they lose all credibility with some of those previous choices.

"OMG, [insert wack song] will go down as one of the best ever of all-time."

So annoying.

Yeah, 'annoying' really characterizes that show, and lately, that whole channel. I'm not even sure about "Smells Like Teen Spirit." I've always thought it was one of the worst Nirvana songs because of how overplayed and cliche it's become, not to mention there's nothing that complicated or interesting about it, but I guess that's their list's criteria. Nirvana as a band is a bit like that song --- overrated --- which is a shame, because they weren't that bad; people just think they were better than they were. It always annoyed me how when Layne Staley (Alice in Chains frontman) died, nobody seemed to care, but when Cobain died, there was a national tearjerk reaction that lingers to this day. Nirvana was placed on a pedestal with his death, when Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden were much better grunge bands from the era.

Anyway, yeah, life's been great. Haven't been able to be on the internet practically at all with all that's going on down in New Orleans, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. How about you? How's St. John's treating you?

Ever had one from Cafe Du Monde? I go there with my friends every morning after we had procrastinated and were forced to pull an all-nighter of studying. One odd thing I've observed is that they tend to schedule their work shifts by ethnic minorities. One night we went there and it was all Puerto Ricans, and the next morning it was all Vietnamese. Then the morning before I left town, it was all employees from somewhere in the Caribbean.
 
I never seen that, maybe they do it for a reason, but yea thats where I went. I heard they're really really fattening.

St. John's is okay. I'm working during the winter break and there's no one here. It's pretty empty and boring.

for the first time in my useless life i'm actually doing something on consecutive days. went to the celtics game today, blew a load b/c i was in the same building as KG, Allen, and Pierce, had THE BEST sausage pepper & onion i've ever had; tomorrow (or today, now) i'm going to a family friend's house which is 20x cooler than my house and they have an xbox 360 so i might even get to play Halo 3. then the next day is christmas. and THEN i'll play Halo 3 for sure the next day b/c me and two friends (maybe more who knows) are getting together and we'll all be playing it for the first time (i haven't told them i might play it tonight)

I was trying to sleep and couldn't about two hours ago, so I figured hell, I've only got two more hours 'til the sunrise, might as well stay up. Now I'm glad I did. Winter sunrises in the south are breathtaking.

Oh hells yeah. Unfortunately I can only get it in 6 packs in Arizona, and I couldn't find it at my local Bottle King in New Jersey.

Strongbows really nice lol. On Thursday i was really in a Cider mood and a 750ml bottle of Magners was £3.50!!!! so i got pints of Strongbow for £2.20. Reading on the internet i saw that the Government charge 50% tax on all alcohol. Plus 17.5% VAT!!! So without that stuff a beer would cost about £1.40
 
Evil bastards our Government aren't they? They charge 65p per litre of petrol, too. Without that it would be 35p per litre.
 
I'm not a huge beer drinker. I'm more of a Vodka guy. I LOVE Grey Goose and Cranberry juice. However, if I had to pick a beer, I would go Stout beers, Canadian Ales or Lagers.
 
My mom let me use her credit card to spend at a max 85 bucks on something, when in fact it cost 95, I hope she doesn't get mad!
