One of the assistants there tried to cheer me up by telling me a story about these "gangster guys" who thought it was cool to get it pink. I smiled with her just for the sake of not making her feel stupid.


Btw, did you get this little tree brush looking thing? How do you use that?

Your supposed to use that brush to brush between the pieces of metal stuck to your teeth. I never used it and didn't have a single problem for the 2 and half years I had them.

The worst part about braces is when you first get them, you constantly worry about having food getting stuck in them.

Yep. When you eat at home, it's cool, because you can go to the mirror and clean them. On the other hand, if you're going out to eat with your friends, you have have to bring a whole kit with you, or just avoid eating.

You'll get used to it and learn how to clean it without the kit.
 
It's a total pain when you have to wear a retainer after the braces. The torment never ends..

I still have to wear my retainer, but only at night though when I go to sleep. My orthodontist says that most people are probably gonna have to wear it for the rest of their lives or else their teeth will start moving back crooked again

I lost my retainer. Oh well.

I watched this thing at my friend's house on the BBC demand channel about boobs. It was awesome. First, it was girls with huge boobs (size G), and they weren't that great in the face, but WOW those boobs were enormous.

Then, it was small boobs. Those girls were really pretty, but their boobs were almost non-existent. I don't care though, I'd still choose the pretty girls over the big boobed girls.

Life's short, I'd eat as many sweets as I want. I did eat as many sweets as I wanted when I had braces. That's me personally though, everyone's different. Do whatever you feel is best. If you received advice from your parents or dentist on sweets, probably do what they tell you

Definitely avoid popcorn (it hurts if something gets stuck) and gum & gummy stuff (annoying as hell when something gets stuck).

Avoid sweets, and get as many boobs as possible.
 
Just brushed my teeth for the first time with braces. Ow.

I seem to have a problem with the threader floss. My teeth are too tight together for it to get through.
