I can't think of a good one to make.

You can't compare basketball to an abstract noun per se. What makes sense as an answer to your question might be something like:

His grace on the court is like a ballerina on the grand stage.

"Grace" being the abstract noun, and "ballerina on the grand stage" being the metaphor.

Given my example, you can probably come up with something better all the way around

I just find it funny that he calls Cpaw a hypocrite. Then says he wouldn't want NFL players sing the word "ass". But he doesn't seem to mind using cursewords.

Cpaw ...w/ his world famous hypocritical do as I say not as I do attitude.

I believe that it's inappropriate for the nfl to be putting on programming during the 6 o'clock hour where guys are singing, "get your *** back in bed." if that makes me 1950's, then i'll take that. I believe that responsible adults understand that there is a time and place for things and they don't subject little kids that that type of behavior, language and/or images.

but We are on an Internet Forum, people expect curse words every now and then. And that NFL broadcast was live TV displayed to the whole nation + Other countries. Stop Nit-Picking at stupid things.

So I had a tennis tournament yesterday. It was my first varsity game. I was playing ranked #5 and I won 8-7 (7-4) in tiebreaker!

Basketball actually is excitement (or boring to some). In order to make a metaphor, you have to compare it to something else (like a ballerina in my example). Granted, my example may not have been an ideal comparison, though it works.
