Walrus, Keith Van Horn retired. He was frustrated after moving to four cities in five years, so he locked him and his family up in some Denver mansion and has been living there retired ever since. According to a recent ESPN article, the odds of him ever coming back are 30-70.

Check out all the players from the '02 HS class that wound up in the pro's. What a deep class...

You're just young and naive. You haven't met anyone special yet I guess, but when you do, you'll change your opinion on that.
</div>

Actually, I think I was more naive back when I thought I was in love with someone after going out for like what...4 months? It usually just dissolves in itself after a while, and then you realize that there's so many chicks your age that are single and looking that love kind of takes a backseat for the time being. I agree with shapecity's posts, your youth is more of a time to experiment than stick to one person (but again, it depends on the person, so if you believe otherwise than I have no reason to disagree with your opinion); I just wish I'd believed in that philosophy sooner. I was pretty picky for 3 of my 4 high school years...nowadays, not so much.

Anyway, I ran into this one girl today while I was out that I'd wanted to deal but backed off cause she had a b/f. I haven't talked to her in a while since then, but I'm hoping she doesn't have one anymore. I think I'm going to give her a call tommorow, she is fuckin gorgeous.

I didn't get drunk today

. Some of the waitresses at the restaurant we went to were pretty bomb.

I don't think you're so much jaded as you are inexperienced.

Orange kush ftw

Well, I believe everyone's bound to be in love with someone at one point or another in thier life, it's just less likely to happen in high school is all I'm sayin.

As for Michael Dickerson, I remember reading a feature on him a couple of years back in SLAM after he retired. I don't exactly remember the contents of the article, but it was a cool read. I remember when him and Bibby were in Vancouver, they used to keep showing their alley-oop on Canadian sports networks.

I should stop using too much gel on my hair. I don't bother gelling my hair at work, but when I'm out I like to style it and I use pretty strong gel...now I'm just worried it'll **** up my hair a lot sooner if I keep on using it.

Anyway, I'm off to sleep.

Oh yeah, I messaged the girl from my old work to see if she'd like to come to the Races on Wednesday, she hasnt replied yet though, lol.

lol, you're probably right too. Oh well, at least I tried I guess

Yeah, Dickerson was amazing. He was traded for the draft rights to Steve Francis back when Steve Francis was the ****.

He was only in his twenties when he retired too, right?

EDIT: I just looked it up, and he retired five seasons ago when he was 27, so he's 32 now. He posted 18.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.5 apg in his last healthy season.

And Terrell Brandon is only 37. I'm sure if he's healthy, he'd be able to crack some team's rotation.

Yeah Dickerson was awesome back in the day, how come he retired?

"There were voices down the corridor, thought I heard them sayy"

What a relaxing song...

"The Dream Shatterer" by Big Punisher (both versions) has to be one of the sickest Hip-Hop songs ever made, love the production, and his flow is just flawless.

"Plushed out! (No doubt!) Both pockets about to bust out
If you not in it for the spinach, GET THE **** OUT!"

"I'm no joke! (Yuh!!) I soak your face with a sweeper
Dying disgrace, I'll face your death through the speaker"

I was playing ball today at a local school outdoors and what I hate most is street ball kids. They come, everyone is running serious and they carry and do all their sh*t. I had to guard some street ball dude, who was trying all these fakes and moves, At first I fall for it, but then I start defending him. He can't do anything, but he still does all his crap. To me, it ruins the game, when 1 guy comes in, and starts all his street ball crap.

Well, people in streetball games act really stupid sometimes. Some kids have tempers and start yelling at their teammates for every little mistake they make, that kind of stuff is obnoxious.

A good "STFU" will bring them back to Earth though.

This kid dones't talk or anything. I don't like to start anything, I'm not their to fight, and Kids their have tempers. It is just, they ruin it, and it angers me. They don't play defense, and they mess with the ball the whole time.

^ I feel you man. When you call carry or something like that, they want to argue and get mad at you. That just ruins the game which is why I now play with people I know.

Well you need to hang out with some other kids; or just practice shooting and B-ball drills by yourself until you find the right group of people to play with.

Yea, I mean, most guys play fine. Just everyonce and awhile a kid comes with his dumbass moves and stuff. It just makes me want to stop playing. Liek this isn't a streetball game, you know. I mean it's outdoor ball. I want to play serious, not mess around.

^I feel for you man. The same thing has happened to me. "Yo homie, can I play ball with yall?" "O what *****, where am I goin, I'm about to bust your ankles cuh" blah blah blah I just like to have a nice pickup game with my friends and just play a good game. No need to act like Rafer Alston or anything like that.

I was playing some dude yesterday like that and I had to guard em. He was already hyped with his Kobe jersey but all he did was dribble and do the same fakes. And he held the ball on top of the key for like 5 minutes each possession. He had no right and no jumpshot. He scored on me once and just stared at me feeling all good about himself. I copped the W but damn he was annoying.

I like the guys who have all handles and no shot. Those guys annoy me like hell.

I just wear a white tee with some shorts.

^Yeah I wear like a Magic tee or something comforting. No NBA gear.

I think the real losers are the guys who go shirtless that don't have good bodies. Not that I'm checking them out or anything, but I hate trying to post up on someone whose hairy gut is hanging on me. Sometimes I find myself just moving out of the way defensively just to get away from those kind of guys. I'd rather be scored on in a game that doesn't matter than get sweat on by some slob.

Has anyone ever played competition that was just way over their head? That's the worst. I don't care how good you are, there's always better talent, and there's always talent below you. Sometimes I like just playing in church gyms and stuff where I know I'll be the best one on the court. When I was fifteen I got invited to this U-16 camp hosted at Ole Miss, for all the top AAU prospects in the area. I was so stoked that I got invited that I started walking around all week like I was the ****, but when I got there I saw how insanely talented some other kids my age were. It was a huge blow to my ego. The entire time there I was two steps behind the other players. I went from being the **** in my private school league to being "that guy," who is just a liability out there. It's hard to find a court with players on a decent enough talent level to make it interesting but not so much better that you're useless out there.

Well, about the whole shirt thing, I agree. I hate guarding guys that are pouring sweat. I mean that's disgusting. Also, about the competition thing, I don't care if I'm the best, it at least will make me better. I just hate getting owned.

So I was at target and I had an impulse moment, and I stole the stupidest thing. When I was into rap music, dressing ghetto and what not, I always wanted one of those Allen Iverson arm bands, ya know? Well I saw one today, so I opened up the package, put it on my arm and walked out with it.

I feel so gay right now.
