Sex before marriage is a joke, sex for procreation is a joke, but I respect who can hold off. Like Karma said, not everybody is a die hard fanatic like you. I never said killing people was ok, I was simply quoting the Bible. If you want me to get the verses, I'll find them so you can look them up.

Die hard fanatic? What does that have to do with anything? Answer my questions to make it simple

1) Is getting tattoos a sin in your religion
2) Are you aware that you will be commiting sin by doing so
3) If you know that then why are you getting them?

You basically said all I need to know to get into Heaven is to believe in God. That is false, there are many other things that you have to do I believe to go to heaven. Like I said before, what if a person commits a lot of sins in their entire life, you think they can go to heaven if they believe in God?
 
I just came to the realization that I am older than Kevin Durant.

And on tattoos, if a religion tells you not to get a tattoo, I find it very hard to take that religion seriously. I think that most religion nowadays is just people taking core beliefs and becoming fanatical about them.

I don't really see how getting a tattoo is that big of a friggin deal. Even if it is against the religion, do you really expect a person to uphold every single thing the religion requires of you? In the end, it's his choice.

This is the problem with religion, people just tend to look too deeply into it. I think everyone should believe in a higher power and believe in something beyond what we can comprehend but some people base thier lives entirely on something written in scripture thousands of years ago without looking at it from a broader scope. I'm not against the Muslim religion by any means, but what is the point of burying women under burqas?

Actually, no I wasn't. I finished responding to you and said "ON ANOTHER NOTE" and decided to post my random thought, which is, if you haven't noticed, what this thread is about.

It's against his religion yes, but it's not wrong to the extent that you're making it out to be. If he was killing someone than okay, I get your point, but the guy is getting a tattoo because he wants to, how hard is that to understand? I don't think Mamba believes in religion to the point that he thinks getting a tattoo will in any way affect his life after death. If that's his belief, then so be it. Why do you care?

I'm against that also. I understand why they wear Hijabs, but burqas is taking it over the limit. I don't even know anyone that wears that. I don't even think there is anything about burqas in the Holy Qur'an.

He didn't back off - he two pieced Kobe and dodged that ridiculously weak punch Kobe threw. After that everyone broke it up. It's not like he went 'Melo... he hit him twice and got him a third time too. Don't blame Chirs Childs, blame Kobe's hand skills (or lack thereof).

When I first saw the vid, I didn't see Kobe elbow Childs in the shoulder (although it was a weak blow), so I was under the impression that Childs just suckerpunched him with little cause.

But fair enough, Kobe is a crappy fighter. The Wade ordeal was funnier though.

A friend of mine's never really watched horror movies, so a couple of us have taken it upon ourselves to bring her up to speed. Today we kicked it off by watching "Halloween." I love that movie. Only 3 people get killed, but its head and shoulders above any of the gorefests that get produced these days. That piano theme is frikkin' creepy.
 
M21, I reinstated those posts. They were off topic, they were completely fine. I thought you didn't want random one liners and such, those weren't that. They involved religion and tattoos, if yuu want to merge those in a thread in the Relgiion and Politics section, go ahead, but I'm reinstating them.

3) It's my body, not God's. I like tattoos, I always have. It's a form of art, so therefore, I'm going to get some and I'll probably get more.

How would you know what it takes to get to Heaven? Aren't you Muslim? Don't you expect 77 virgins or something? To each his own, my friend. If God doesn't want me in heaven beacuse of some tattoos, then I don't expect to see a lot of people in Heaven. If God doesn't want me in Heaven for a tattoo, I don't want to be there.

I don't think there's anything wrong with getting tattoo's. You guys have totally different beliefs, and I don't think arguing is going to change anything. To each his own.

Yeah that video looks like its from the Kimbo Slice series. Can see him walking around in the background there. For those familiar with the porn site InTheVIP, Kimbo actually appears in alot of their videos, as he works (or worked, not sure if he still does) security for them. Not bad for just a street thug, lol.

Getting a tattoo might be done in poor taste many times, but even if it was a sin it is comparable to me telling a fat girl she is slim.

I have a tattoo as well, nothing about morality crossed my mind before I got it. Apparently though I got it done at the nastiest tattoo parlor in my area and multiple people have told me to get an AIDS test. Would've been nice to know this stuff earlier.

Also, I have major gas.

I don't have any tats and don't plan on getting one because I have no interest in having one, but I've designed tats for a few of my friends that they've had done.

I have the Atlanta Braves' A logo on my wrist which stands for my name (Adam) and my hometown (Auburn) which is basically saying stay true to yourself and don't be fake yadda yadda. I plan on getting another tat pretty soon.

I just went to church during the last two pages.

Transformers was a bad movie....too long, tried too hard to be funny, and only a little action towards the end.
