For starters, S2 has a different governing philosophy than what JBB had. The primary reason for these differences is age and experience of the pre-merger S2 admins and the corresponding point at which the pre-merger JBB admins were when they started JBB. Additionally, there were major gaps in the average age of the posters. Extremely tight editing and over moderation are not things that allow a site to keep adult posters that have jobs and families who view the site as a fun diversion from their everyday life.</p>

Secondly, some JBB mods had the impression that they were going to come here and dictate how and when things were going to be done. All suggestions post-merger were listened to; however, as with any professionally managed project, everything must be weighed on a cost/benefit basis before decisions are reached. Some people were too impatient to deal with the rate at which changes were being implemented and others acted immaturely because they weren't getting their way.</p>

Mods were never told that they couldn't edit, rather they were told they needed to adapt to a much looser set of guidelines. Some people decided to start a campaign of misinformation in response to this by telling people that mods couldn't edit.</p>

The admins from both pre-merger groups have been on the same page about the direction of the site the entire time. Each person obviously has their personal list of what they believe is the most important next step, but the overall direction isn't in question.</p>

Not really, out of 11,800 members we had at JBB, there is maybe 11 or 12(includingmyself) that still actually post on a consistant basis. ALOT of people were really thrown off by the merger. But whatever, thats the decision Shape made, and we have to respect that. S2 is still as bad as it was the day the merger took place, and nothing seems to be happening in regards to improving it (unless somthing is going on behind the scenes I dont know about).</p>

I wake up the next morning and get treated to 5 pages of Brian, Legacy, Dark Hero, and The Legend showing me what "QUALLTY > QUNTTIY" is. Friggin' ridiculous. Thanks for sh*tting all over what JBB used to stand for guys. If you don't want to be here, just leave. I was enjoying the site without all this juvenile drama.</p>

I watched the Flags of our Fathers at the theatre and Letters from Iwo Jima on dvd. I love both movies. I actually love any movie that Clint Eastwood makes or is in one. (greatest actor/producer of all time for me, he was born to act/produce, guy is a genius)</p>

Back to the movies, it's great how he tries to show us both sides of the story, and you get the human story out of it, that they weren't evil (the japanese), they were just like us, fighting for their country, whatever their generals said. (isn't that the story everywhere?) lol</p>

But yeah, they're both must own dvds.</p>

Yes I agree I read through it and it was extremely immature. Once again, I feel like we should have thought first before we posted. I didn't know what happened, I guess I'm just a dumbass. I probably won't be posting here anymore though, but do me a favor and the next time I do something stupid like this just ban me.</p>

Watched Spiderman 3 long time ago, was pretty good but most of the time they would talk,dance, and argue. Never seen Batman Begins but it looked like a great movie.

I hate comic books and all movies about comic book characters, ie Spiderman, Batman. I also hate anything that deals with a parallel universe, ie Star Wars, Lord of the Rings. Don't even get me started on robots, wizards, and magic.</p>

Man, alot of JBBers are making us look like douchebags. It's the minority, I assure you.</p>

Anyways, Halloween was homo, I answered the door for trick-or-treaters for like an hour then shut all my lights off and ate the rest of the candy and passed out.</p>

What's people's favorite types of movies?</p>

ie: superhero, sports, comedy sci-fi, action, scary...</p>

My favorite type is either sports or comedy. I love all the good basketball movies like He Got Game, Glory Road, and Hoosiers, but I also love watching movies like 40 Year Old Virgin and Accepted.</p>

I think Superman is the epitome of a guy who never gives his full-effort, and will never live up to his potential. He's existence is defined as constant disappointment, in my eyes.</p>
