I'm afraid to go to the community gym to lift since there are girls that work at the gym and i dont want them to see me since Im in the worst shape of my life(I realized this when I took an hour long walk back home from school, mostly uphill walk, and I was sweating)

Has anybody ever taken a sociology course before? I'm taking my first one this summer and its way different than the philosophy courses that I'm used to.

Sociologist? I'm not sure since I'm not headed that way academically, but I think sociology's a profession that kind of resides in the academic/scholarly community.

I took Soc 100 last semester. It' alright, honestly. It's one of those courses that is make/break depending on the professor. I had a dead beat professor.

In Cricket any one of the 11 guys on the defending team can bowl. They bowl six balls in an over, and more if there are no-balls (overstep a certain mark), wides or other such things.

After the six valid balls have been completed, another bowler bowls, this time from the other end of the pitch (there are two batsmen in at any one time).

Each team has 11 people who bat (no DHs here) and once 10 of them are out the team is all-out since they need to have one batsman at each end.

There are three 2hr 15min (I think) sessions in a day for an international test match, which can go on for 5 days (and often ends in a Draw).

I don't know... this thread's always been just sort of like a chat room, an extremely slow moving chat room.

I'm loving being back on the internet. I've just gotten into the whole 'watch tv and movies online' thing. I'm almost tempted to just get a huge monitor and use it as my tv and my computer. If you can get almost everything on tv on your computer, commercial free, then why pay for cable? It seems like you just need a computer with a big monitor, the internet, and maybe a DVD player.

Some really old people are just sad. I was in a really old record store today in a really shitty part of town, and since I was the only person in there at the time (and probably the only person they've seen in there all week... it was a tiny piece of shit place), the old guy behind the counter talked my ear off for a good 15 minutes. I just wanted to buy a few fuckin vinyls, and this guy had to make it into an all day thing. I just hope I never become so deprived of human contact that I become one of "those" old guys.

I was just joking around. This thread's great the way it is. I love how its become the defining legacy from JBB.

I'm back working at my old job this summer and the dude next to me sits and watches movies off the internet all day long. I think he only did like half an hour of work the entire day. I wish I was in his department.

I'm good. Bought a guitar a couple months ago finally, but I'm struggling with it badly. I usually pick it up and play for at least 15-20 mins despite my busy schedule but I'm still only stuck playing really simple riffs inaccurately. It feels like there's a whole language that I don't understand when it comes to it.
