Not sure if that's sarcasm, but it does sound like an interesting class. Unfortunately, so far it's been pretty dry, and the teacher is kind of boring. I should of suspected it, considering I had him for History a couple of terms ago, and I could barely stay awake. Sitting there from 6:50 to 7:40 doesn't help make the Sociology anymore interesting, either.

This isn't a diss on anyone, because over the internet it can sound like it is...I found Sociology to be a class that all you needed was like common sense to pass.

That's all I really used to pass it, but we had this really cool program that ran alot of statistics and stuff and that was kinda cool. That and Sociology has a lot of random terms that have definitions that common sense-wise, we know, but we don't match the definition with that particular word.

I always have a hard time starting my work. You know, settling down and just focusing on one thing.

I took a 200 level sociology class over the summer. I needed to get the prof's permission to take it without having the prerequisite experience, but in the end I didn't really feel like I needed it. The material's easy to understand and you just really have to put the time into it to get a good mark. It doesn't really require any special aptitude or skills.

The subjects interesting as hell though. I ended up writing my research proposal on how empathy for the homeless might differ across wealth brackets.

One part of this...let's say project, is I have to define several sociology terms, which doesn't sound hard expect, my teacher doesn't want a standard book definition. Wtf? In his words, add something we discussed in class or whatever. It's like what the hell. This shit is retarded, and unnecessary.

I've felt that way about school for the past 2 years.

It's better when you're taking classes that you know will actually help you in your pursuit of a degree in whatever area you wish. For instance, I find it quite easy to do the work for my microecon class because I know it will help me get into the Rutgers Business School, which will ultimately lead to me gettting a degree in finance (hopefully). At the same time, I have absolutely no motivation to do any of my Calc II homework because the course is specifically designed for those who wish to become engineers of some kind. If it were a normal, basic Calc II class, I'd probably be fine, but the crap we're doing is all engineering-based and it's annoying as hell. There's absolutely no reason I should be taking this class; therefore, I have no desire to do any of the work.

Yeah dude. I get really tired from school so I just grab a snack and sleep my ass off till 10-11. And then I eat dinner and then start my homework. If I have a lot of homework, then I just do it all the way to 6, but mostly it's not a lot so I just do it till 4 and get some more sleep. If you look at it, I get 10 hrs of sleep which is more than enough and I get my homework done in peace with no distractions. But it's not like I do this everyday or something, just the days I get tired as hell. Usually I just take a short nap after school and then homework and then sleep around 11-12.

BTW, I'm hoping to get a job soon! I got applications from Barnes and Nobles and Jamba Juice. I really want to work at Jamba Juice for some reason. When I went to get the application, they said they need someone doing morning shifts but I cant do that during weekdays because I have school so I might do morning during weekends and afternoons during weekdays! But I have to get the job first. Pray I get it! It's going to be my first job!

In the mornings. I wake up around 6 and leave the house by 6:50. I got more than enough time to do whatever. But like I said, that's not my normal schedule just when I'm like tired or something. Usually, I do my homework earlier and take shorter naps afterschool.
