I don't know how they spell shit over in Britain, but in Toronto we don't talk that hood shit.

Re: Random Thought Thread (NSFW)

Better believe it. But we still don't talk with that annoying British accent. Not to mention the fucking scary British children shows:

Mamba's going to get hustled? I don't think he'll enjoy hustling me when he finds out I f'd his wife.

Lol man, god I hope he pays you back, for his sake. :O

Damn...

Why is it that every time I browse this thread at school, you guys are at your comedic best? I just let out a couple of snickers in a quiet computer lab...

Re: Random Thought Thread (NSFW)

Supposedly in Britain they play with their twangers and their friends balls.

Re: Random Thought Thread (NSFW)

Not to mention that they like to help each other get it up and playing with their special friends is the national British past-time.

Re: Random Thought Thread (NSFW)

My high school is well known for it's ability to assist students through the application process, so I can help you out on this as they basically drilled everything into our heads last year. This is what we did:

You'll need to address and stamp the envelopes (you should use those big manila envelopes so the contents are nice and neat) before you give them to your guidance department. The address would be the university's office of admissions, which you should be able to find online. The return address should be your high school's address (with your homeroom number).

The only application I did online was Rutgers, so the envelope that I gave the guidance department just had a transcript request paper in it to let them know all they needed to do was mail my transcript in the envelope. I printed the transcript request off the Rutgers website.

All my other apps were paper apps. You should be able to download them from the university's website. For example, one of the schools I applied to via a paper app was the University of Michigan. This is what the paper app looked like for them. Just print it out (use a laser printer if you can) and fill it out. Then, put it in the envelope and give it to guidance. They'll put your transcript in and then mail it out.

Also, some of the school's you might apply to may use the common app. I printed out my common app's, but I think you can do them online. I never bothered to check that out though. I preferred the paper apps. This is a list off all the universities that use the common app. You'll need to print out one copy for each school that you are applying to. So, for example, I applied to Cornell, Northwestern, and Carnegie Mellon, so I printed out 3 common apps.

Your counselor should go over this with you in your meeting.

And fwiw, I went to SUNY's website and I think you can apply online if you want.

Do you take care of your teacher recommendations yet?

At a lunch meeting they handed out some stuff, and I have a big CUNY envelope. I'm pretty sure I have to put my CUNY info in there, and then hand it to guidance. The envelope is addressed to Office of Admission Services. I also have to put one of three labels on it, General Fresh Admission, The Teacher Academy, or Macaulay Honors College. So, yeah.

Also I noticed in the U of Michigan application, it asked what high schools I attended, starting from 9th grade. I started 9th grade in a different high school, but then transferred to my current one. Is it important to mention that?

As for the teacher recommendations, I handed one to my former English teacher a few weeks, ago, and one to my History teacher. I need to check to see if my English teacher filled it out, because I know my History teacher hasn't, yet (He lets us know as soon as he has).

Btw, for CUNY apps, they tell us to go to www.cuny.edu/apply

Yeh we're the Screwy nation. America banned a CD from a British artist because it Glorified Gays. Yeh thats ok as long as you don't get distracted by gay lyrics when your buying your Assault rifles and A-Z of Schools.

BTW that Video was a piss-take from the creators of the show.

Re: Random Thought Thread (NSFW)

Nah, the English are tougher than that. We rape and pillage, not sue and murder.
