I have a Journalism midterm next week, and then after that, no big exams until Finals. Have three big papers, and a revision of one of those papers left to do this semester. Not too worried. Have about 15 credits locked up as A's. 3 credits at a B right now. Will try to get it up to an A, B+/A- would be fine as well, as 3 credits is no biggie.

My list right now is: Texas, UCLA, Arizona, FSU, Northwestern, and Columbia.

As long as I get accepted to Texas I'm going there, unless there is a beastly financial aid offer from one of the others. But have to apply to the others just in case I don't get in, but I don't foresee that happening.

Why would you want to go to UCLA? The University of Toronto is one of the best colleges in North America. York University is also a pretty good college, I thought about going there for a degree in cognitive science but the lack of aid was a killer.

I am aware of how good UofT is, but I would like to see Cali. I love Toronto, but A) I don't have the grades for UofT, I'm going to college. B) I always wanted to go to LA and Cali.

Why would anyone want to go to Kansas!?!??!

I don't really want to go to UCLA. I'm not a big fan of LA. But it's warm there and they are a great school, and have arguably the top program.

Why would anyone want to go to MU? It's in fucking Missouri for crying out loud.

Besides, KU is listed near the top of the list by high school advisers as a premier college and the KU school of medicine (which is in Wichita) is one of the top 10 medical schools in the nation.

That Jayhawk stands as a symbol for the Jayhawkers who fought the invaders from Missouri that wanted to take over KS and make it a slave state.

$300 is too much.

But really, good shoes make a different. These Big Ben's and Starbury's are shit. I can see why Ben Wallace's career went down the drain when he started wearing these.

Good Nike's or Jordan's are great for basketball. But you don't have to pay $300 for them. Just get the out of season one's for $50-60 and you should be set. And then just wear then when you're on the court. Maybe do the buy one get one half offers that they usually have at foot locker, and get one for outside and one for indoors.

But hey, what do I know. I have $8 shoes on right now.

I used to spend $100-150 on Jordans. Now, I try not to go higher than $75. Perhaps because I no longer care about shoes. I can't remember the last time I bought a pair.

It's different when you are buying them for yourself. When your parents are buying them cost isn't really factor but when you have to start buying them with your own money you really start paying attention to how much they cost and comparing brands.
 
A homo? Because I want to have nice shoes. My shoes are fucking fresh and I don't mind spending the money. It's a life-style.

If you have the money to drop $300 on shoes, then it's alright, although I probably still wouldn't do it.

But as a high school student, I don't see Shake being one of those people, which mean he is spending a large percentage of his money on these shoes, when it could be better allocated elsewhere.

Although if his parents pay for it, then who cares. But still, I don't see what kind of shoes cost $300. They must have diamonds in them or something. Maybe gator skin.
