RANGERS-CAPS-GAME 7 COMEBACK COMPLETE & MOVING ON

I have to say this man...this team has been so darn good the past 4 playoffs. We realy need to acknowledge that.

ECF in 2012, 2nd round in 2013, SCF in 2014, ECF in 2015 (and hopefully more).

What an amazing run. Have done it all except win the cup. Hopefully that will change soon.

I do kind of feel bad for OV now answering these questions again. I actually think he is a good dude, but he needs to get over that hump. The Caps are VERY good IMO, he will get there I think.

How quickly would you take him on the Rangers?

Seriously. 14 one goal games in a row. It's like they are trying to kill their fans.

Backstrom was so invisible this series I don't think they would notice if he didn't get on the plane.

8 series wins in the past 4 playoffs. A ton of OT wins, and game 7 wins, and elmination game wins. To me it all starts with Hank, the man will do anything to win.

That's why the time is now. They have to win the damn cup now. Another final four. It's has to happen now.

For sure Mess. Great player. And the Caps have a good future. They will get there.

Yeah, Backstrom was awful. Sorry but I laugh when people talk about him as a stud. He LIVES off of OV...period.

Ovechkins problem is he plays for the Caps. He's a great player and had a good gm tonight

Caps HAVE to make changes. Ov cannot do it alone and a generational talent is going to waste.

I know some here think this is tennis and OV should have done it all by himself already, but it's not and his teams have always been severely flawed and in tight checking playoffs you need more than 1 player who can score.

BTW...hank is 10 and 0 in his last elimination games at the Garden. There were some fools who have said he is not a playoff goalie...LOL

Except for that bullshit hit in game one that lead to the Ward goal he didn't absolutely nothing.

Looking ahead to the TB series, I expect 7. I expect 1-1 after two games. I would say Bolts win game 1 on Saturday afternoon, little hangover for the Rangers. We win game 2. Then away we go.

More unreal numbers. In his last six game 7s Lundy is 6-0 with a 0.80GAA. Has tied Marty and Roy with the most game seven wins. Thankfully he took care of that positioning issue.

As I said before, DMoore is unsung hero for the last two years. One of the best moves Sather has ever made is bring DMoore back.

He's one of those guys who really ups his game for the playoffs. Is very consistent which you really have to like. He played a great game tonight.

Yeah he's not quiteas big and more of a finesse player, but he could add another 10 lbs.

Is it time to put the Hayes Hagelin MSL line together again? AV benched St. Louis in the 3rd, he got more chances with them than with Nash and Step anyway. He can't win puck battles anymore

Before this game began, I did not want to see an OT.
Anything can happen. Do you have any idea how
unreal those first 7 minutes of OT could have put the
Caps into the conference finals. It was a living hell
watching Caps put Rangers in feverish lunacy running
around and not able to clear their zone. Absolute hell.
I was waiting for that damn puck to sail by Lundy
and end this comeback. It was that close to losing this
game in OT. Hank was standing on his head these
ridiculous 7 minutes when Caps outshot Rangers
8-0 in OT.
And then the ice break that gave Rangers
a reprieve. Caps ice puck. Rangers win FO.
Girardi passes puck back to Yandle. Yandle shoots.
Puck deflects off of Orp[r]ick to Stepan. Stepan shoots.
Stepan SCORES. RANGERS WIN! RANGERS WIN!

I could not sleep all night. :tornado:

I was hoping Mel's thread title wasn't going to be a jinx and it wasn't.:smiley-smokin:

The one thing that sticks out about this crazy, mind boggling
series is that these Rangers were 141 seconds from being
eliminated in Game 5, and never having a chance to play
a Game 6 and a frenetic Game 7. I'm still trying to get
my head around
this fact. Just unreal.
