You never know how these games will go, but I was very concerned about us coming out flat and the Caps coming out ready. Ridiculous that would be a concern at home in a game 7, but it happened. Hopefully AV is getting into them like he did after the 1st period at Pitt in the first round.

Considering how bad we played down only 1-0 feels like a miracle. You didn't miss a damn thing 31. I think the Rangers thought it was an 8:30 start time. Didn't show for the 1st period. Caps wanted it so much more. We are very lucky to be down 1-0 only.

Washington is playing like a desperate team should. The Rangers need to step it up. They're getting chances as well so we will see what happens in the second. Stop going backhand on Holtby and elevate some shots already. Stepan had a good chance on the PP but put the shot in a terrible spot.

It's almost like he fanned and then just barely caught it. They've struggled all year elevating pucks so it's not surprising that they still can't do it. It's disappointing, just like the faceoffs and PP, but it is what it is at this point. Hopefully we can start playing like its a game 7, and realize if we lose if over. The Caps have realized that.
