Scouting report: "Reilly is now in his junior season at the University of Minnesota in 2014-15 along with his brothers, Connor and Ryan (both forwards). The Golden Gophers are once again one of the top teams in college hockey and Mike Reilly is among the team leaders in assists, points and plus/minus. His skill set and production suggest that he is ready to make the jump to pro hockey following this season but he is just likely to return for his senior season to finish out his career with his brothers. Reilly projects to being an offensive, top pairing defenseman at the NHL level one day."
"For stretches this season, he's been the most dominating, impressive defenseman in all of college hockey, and is very likely to be named an All-American for the second consecutive season."
He's a left shot, and former teammate with Skjei. Doesnt look like we're the front runner right now, but if we can land him a la Hayes maybe he or Skjei becomes a trade chip? LH D would become very crowded. Possibly planning for Yandle becoming too expensive after this year.
