And that's why it's a god damn joke to have Boyle on the ice in OT. He's fucking useless. He might as well not even be on the god damn ice. Fucking joke. And AV thinks that fucking fossil should be playing over Dylan on the regular? What the fucking fuck. Jesus.

Kings simply will always find a way to pull it out of their ass against the Rangers. Once regulation ends the game becomes a gimmick. Take the point and move onto the Flyers.

Staal was so embarrassing to watch I cringed every time this moron was on the ice. Why would you have him on the ice at the end of the game when he sucked all game?

Dylan had good game but hardly played the third period and not at all the last 5 minutes when could have used his defense and ability to get the puck the fuck out of the zone. AV is just lost with how he deploys the defense I.T.

Regardless of the outcome you gotta admit that what looked like a beatdown by the Kings early became an entertaining game. I think the hockey gods evened things out with the Kopitar goal off Klein after Zucc's goal bounced in off Vinny earlier. Staal was brutal again tonight, he has to challenge Kopitar on the game tying goal since Klein was obviously in front of the net already but instead Marc does what he does best - nothing. When the Rangers defense quickly moves the puck up ice AV's offense can kick into gear, when Staal makes a boneheaded play like he did 7 seconds in allowing an opponent to set up their forecheck everything stops. Add JT to the list when he opted to make a cross ice pass instead of hitting the wide open man out of the zone. AV opted to give Klein 24 minutes of ice time and Kevin responded with a -3, Staal got 22 minutes and produced a -2 while McIlrath who is clearly the Rangers best RH dman only got 13 minutes and was a +1. I don't think Dylan even got a shift in the last 10 minutes of the third. Nice to see Hayes and Step get goals, the law of averages suggest that all the scoring underachievers to date should start to get things going. How many times have the Rangers given up a goal late in the game when their opponent pulls their goalie?

Well said Panze

Same tools costing this team games each week. Staal and Girardi. Throw in Glass who destroys the offense of the the line and you have a coach that continues to be a moron with his roster choices.

Girardi played a solid game and was a +1. I don't know where you're coming from with that. Klein was -3 and Staal was -2 and where the major culprits. Is what it is with Staal right now. When it comes to Klein he should've been moved in the off season. I said then to sell high on him.

Klein has been bad for awhile now but like staal, girardi and boyle he falls under the untouchable definition for AV that keeps you on ice regardless of play called VETERAN. Its time for the writers to start asking AV what the fuck he is doing with dylan and why is his best RD in the press box each game unless someone is decapitated. And yes, the Stoll giveaway removing our best face-off man so we could keep broken GLASS on the roster continues to pay dividends. :curse::curse:

If the choice is Glass or Megna against a large physical team like the Kings you have to play Glass. I didn't think Tanner was so bad last night, with his 11 minutes of ice time he registered 9 hits and 1 SOG. I would knock him for not agitating enough, Jesper Fast played far worse last night. Still think there's more to the story with Stoll's release that we don't know.

Even the most optimistic Rangers fan like myself is wondering how the hell a guy like Staal is going to remain in the NHL for the 4 more years the Rangers signed him as his meager skills continue to diminish. Glen signed the name without objectively evaluating the player. The smart move would have been to let him test the free agent waters, I'm skeptical another team would have given him the contract Glen gave him.

Graves and Skjei are coming soon so basically Yandle and Staal got to go. The left side soon will be McDonagh, Skjei and Graves. That much is obvious.

It's not obvious, its speculation and opinion on your part. Are the two kids possibly capable of taking the next steps sure, will they, only time will settle that.
Regardless of whom replaces them, Staal and Girardi both need to be shopped to see what returns can be attained. Yes they have NTC and NMC but that doesnt mean it cant be done. I dont see anything happening this year before the trade deadline but a small move, this offseason I believe we'll see the shake up of the roster we sorely need.

Staal's contract ranks among the worst in Rangers history with Drury and Redden, both better players than Marc. Realistically I don't see any other NHL GM being even remotely interested in Marc's bloated contract, Gorton would have to add incentives via draft picks or talent to move him. I think the main problem with Girardi is he's always playing hurt. This might have been a viable option when Dan was younger without as much wear and tear but is now just plain out stupid when AV has another player in McIlrath who is just as good if not better than Dan.

It is obvious. You don't think it's obvious because your dense and don't understand our farm.

Im dense, Nice.

So you have nothing to back up your claim that TWO prospects that havent played the NHL level with any type of consistent play are locks for the NHL16 roster youre concocting in that wacked out mind of yours. Its so obvious that our farm system is totally depleted but for a small handful of talented youngsters. You realize you do this every year with whichever prospect you have a hard on for that year, so and so is going to be on the team next year so basicly trade whom ever for them.

You really are a clown, ive been reading your drivel since ESPN and frankly you come off as a person with serious anger issues, you cant seem to ever talk hockey without insulting every single poster on the board that just wants to give their perspective to the team we all root for.

And seriously fucking Immonen.

Basically half the time you are one of those tools who just takes the opposite view to argue even if it's stupid. Two of the Rangers top 5 prospects are left handed defenseman. The team is up against the cap. Their defense also has a ton of miles on it. Especially Staal and Girardi. They aren't keeping Yandle. So if you don't think the left side of the defense by the end of next year will be McDonagh, Graves and Skjei, you're on the pipe.

I would also add that this is an opinion board Lundy, we're all just posting opinions here and I'm with k-time, Skjei and Graves should be in next year's lineup. Even if they somehow don't perform as well as Staal the fact that their combined salaries are a tenth of Dan and Marc's make it a no-brainer. Paying $26+ mil for an average defensive unit is absurd.

I'm saying after next season both will be in the lineup. Most likely they won't be able to deal Staal until after next season when his limited no trade clause kicks in. If they could, I would think Skjei and Graves will be there to start the season. I doubt that happens though.

Most of our fan base is still completely ignorant on Graves. They know he's good but they really have no idea how close he is to turning into a dominant, number 1 defenseman prospect who can be a 15-20 goal defenseman on the PP. Rangers wasted a lot of picks on these big defenseman who were projects. They missed with one after another after the first round. They finally hit on one with Graves. It only takes one to make a huge impact on your organization.

Flyers have a tremendous defense coming for the first time in a long time. Gostisbehere was a guy I was watching and he's really broken out offensively. Problem is all their top d prospects are lefty. They have nothing right handed coming up which makes me think they are going to package one. My guess is Morin. I can totally see the Flyers using him to get Vatanen. Having a one two punch of Gotisbehere and Vatanen on the PP. They two top prospects in Sanheim and Provorov both have good size to make up for those guys being on the smaller size. I think the Flyers will be active at the trade deadline.

They also have the kid Hagg who's pretty highly rated.

Not a fan of him. I think he's overrated. Nothing special IMO.
