The better team and coaching staff won tonight. Hands down. Rangers outplayed Pitt in the first period, second period was tilted a little more towards Pitt and third was all Pitt. All there is to it.

That's the bottom line. You're not going to score much in the NHL with only 17 shots and there's no reason for it in a playoff game at home. They simply can't string together back to back solid efforts.
 
17 shots on goal total, 4 shots in the 3rd, 1 goal total in the past 3 home playoff games combined. Simply not good enough. Can't get upset over it. You knew failed PP after failed PP would come back to bite them.

Must win Thursday night.

Another first time playoff starter wins against this team. To me it's simple. Either this coaching staff isn't game planning properly or the ENTIRE team isn't doing what they are told. I tend to doubt that an entire team can be this stupid/bad which is why I blame coaching.
 
Allowed a forty old grandpa Cullen score again while our grandpa continues to suck and and play. AV will throw him out there again, no doubt.
 
They let the Pens come into MSG and execute their game plan perfectly and did nothing to try and push back. You knew the Pens would collapse around their goalie. It was no surprise to anyone except the guys on the ice.

I think Mcd reinjured that hand which is what I was worried about when they obviously brought him back too soon in a 1-1 series.
 
Coach is a fucking moron. He put our worst faceoff guy out in the last minute again which cost us a goal. He continues to put a useless relic in Boyle who makes Yandle play like shit on defense instead of using McIlrath. AV has turned into a retard and he has to change or be fired.

Seems to be constant repeats in the playoffs. They score one game and then seem inept in the very next game. Game 6 and 7 against Tampa last season. How can you figure it out? It's like they want to try to win every game 2-1.

You're focusing on nonsense in a game at home in the playoffs where they had 17 shots. They deserved to lose. Nobody makes Yandle do anything. He's not a good defender.
 
Maybe they'll smarten up after letting another backup have an easy night.

Which they SHOULD be able to do if they're paying their goalie $8million, but that's a different issue all together. I just can't believe that 18 players are all this inept. It has to be coaching. It's one thing if it's one line or a handful of players, but when the entire team refuses to shoot, shoots wide, won't crash the net, can't win a faceoff, you have to truly look and question just what the heck these coaches are doing with these guys.
 
Instead of arguing about stupidity it's like 94 and I are saying. 17 shots on goal with 4 in the third and people are shocked they lost?
 
He lost because the Rangers don't f'ing score at home in the playoffs. That is not on Hank. Get on the O tonight. 17 f'ing shots, 4 shots in the 3rd, and 1 goal. That isn't on Hank.

He's not a good defender, which is why it is an absolute fucking moronic thing to pair him and Boyle. Neither can play defense at this point. Cannot have them paired up. Dylan needed to be in for Boyle for that simple reason like I stated earlier in the game. Dylan is a defensive minded dman and you need that with this many offensive minded dmen. Boyle and Yandle out there together is useless, and you might as well just put 5 forwards out there.
 
Not only Lindberg should be in but Hrivik too. Glass is garbage and useless. I said it that there should be drastic changes or this series will be done in 5.
 
Anyway...must win game 4. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully they get some shots. Not much else to say after a game like this.
