Chuck, just curious why we are whiny rangers fans. Because we don’t see this coach putting the players he has in the best positions? The defense I’ll agree Quinn’s hands are tied as he has no one else pending trouba back or some ahl promotions to put out there. I think the goaltender criticism is legit. Igor is the future and outside of an occasional break should be in there almost every game. I think the PP criticism is a legit also. Z man until he comes out of his coma needs to be off the PP1 for someone like strome or chytil now that he’s back. Laf and when he’s healthy kakko need to be on it too. I’ve watched for awhile now fox on the pp point. While a great player during the game for all aspects for whatever reason his lack of a point shot and reluctance to shoot hurts the PP. I would like to see someone with a better point shot like Miller on the pp point. And yes, I realize that’s 2 rookies and a 2nd year guy I’m talking about but in a rebuilding season where unless a miracle happens we’re not making playoffs these kids need to play in these types of scenarios to see what we have. Also, do we really need to see lemieux and howden anywhere near our PP. Gautier is another I’d like to see in the PP mix more. I still enjoy watching this team play as I have since the early sixties. I don’t think this coach will be here next year but he certainly is not getting fired this year. And chuck and grevy, the same reason posters you disagree with aren’t whiners is the same reason you guys are not Quinn ass lickers. It works both ways. I hope everybody enjoys the rest of our season!

Because you guys complain about everything. It is non-stop this is bad, that is bad, he didn't do this, nit-pick here, and nit-pick there. It's incessant. Look at this whole thread, whining and nit-picking every little thing, and the team won. If you read these posts you would think they got crushed. Imagine if they lost??? It's ridiculous man.

And then what happens is the fans who are actually rational and don't nit-pick every little move, get looked at as a** lickers as you put it, and that's a joke as well. I have said I don't like Lemieux anywhere near the PP. I do think Gauthier should be on the 3rd line when the team is fully healthy. I don't know if Quinn is the guy to lead them when they are ready to take the next step towards winning and being a clear playoff team and potential SC threat (hopefully starting next season). That is all fair stuff that I have clearly stated about Quinn, but it doesn't matter because I don't slam him for every decision I don't agree with, as if I know everything and have all the answers, which I do not.

But that doesn't mean he's a bad coach, it doesn't mean he should be fired, it doesn't mean everything bad is his fault (and everything good he got lucky on), on and on. The guy simply does not deserve to get fired. The team overachieved last season. Kids have grown under him. Yes they are a little worse than expected this season so far, but how much worse? BEST CASE they were never going to be better than 4th, so really are we much worse than expected? We are in the expected ball park given the division and talent we have this season.

I am not on the every 2 years I whine and blame the coach for everything bandwagon many of you guys are on. Sorry, but that's not how you build a winning organization. If that type of rational fair thinking makes me a Quinn a** licker, then sure that's what I am.

They watch the games with their eyes closed mrmel. You mentioned the key words. Rebuild. You aren't winning jack shit in the future with Blackwell and Lemieux on the fucking PP. They don't have much talent. If this coach was truly committed to rebuilding he would have asked Gorton and JD to bring up Reunanen who almost made the team last year. Playing Smith and Johnson who both suck over a prospect who already has been playing against men in Europe is just moronic. No team would ever trade for Smith or Johnson. However, Reunanen much like Hajek if they show some talent are two players that the team might be able to trade for something if they feel Robertson can make the jump next season.

See, there is a perfect example of utter nonsense. You have a fake Rangers fan sitting on a message board with an anti-Quinn/coach agenda saying if this coach was truly committed to rebuilding he would have asked Gorton and JD to bring up Reunanen who almost made the team last year.

That is laughable on so many levels. You have no clue if he did or didn't have that discussion with JD/Gorton. On top of that, they are his bosses not the other way around. They make those decisions.

This guy would have you believe Quinn is either telling them do not bring them up (and they are listening to their subordinate and not bringing him up) OR the only way they would know to maybe bring him up is by Quinn saying hey bosses I need you to bring up Reunanen.

I've been big JD and Gorton fans up until this year. So far they have both failed miserably this season. However, the trade deadline is approaching so we will have to wait and see. I've been more than fair to Quinn. He's done a good job with young defenseman when he plays them. He's been a disgrace with young forwards and developing them. Chytil had the talent and seems to be on the way to over coming Quinn's incompetence. His skating is unbelievable this season. I had hopes for Howden. He's a good kid but he is not going to get it done here. If they can move him in a deal for Bennett it has to be done. I've wanted Bennett on this team for 2 years. Get it fucking done Gorton!

Reunanen and maybe Barron/Kravtsov will probably be here by April which will be good to get them a few months of experience going into the offseason. Lundkvist almost assuredly in the fall. Maybe Pajuniemi and Henriksson (dumps favorite) sign ELCs. And then most likely a top 7-8 draft pick which should net us another higher end prospect. Of course that pick could be gone if they snag an Eichel or Barkov. I don't know that Larkin will be made available but anything's possible.

Buch has developed. You mention Chytil developing, but oh wait no credit for Quinn there, that's in spite of Quinn's incompetence (shocker). Lafreniere has clearly been getting better, I am sure no credit for Quinn. Kakko was playing better as well, again no Quinn credit I'm sure.

Basically it's just a prospect development year which is progressing well. I could really care less about who wins the SC this year and barely watch any games outside of the Rangers.

Barron is doing well which is great. Reunanen should be up. It's a joke he's not. Henriksson freakin blows. However, his two top draft pick wingers swear by him. So maybe he will be a guy that suddenly finds it. I hope. Either way. Quinn blows as a coach. He's basically Renney part two.

Accentuate the negative, eliminate the positive. I think when you post on a Rangers board and the vast majority of your posts are ridiculously biased against the Rangers, it's fair game to question one's fandom. Fans of other teams who occasionally come here are nowhere near as negative toward the Rangers as the sour lemon patch kids here. There is a constant "Fire Quinn mantra with no realistic replacement mentioned. The AHL coach Kris Knoblauch? - please the guy finished in 4th place his first year only because Igor came over at the end of the season and pulled the team over .500. And now his team is garbage according to the same sages of negativity, what about Kris' Midas touch? If you're going to keep beating the Fire Quinn spirit drum please provide a legitimate replacement, otherwise you're a barking dog. Too funny or perhaps predictable how the haters can't argue intelligently so they go for the gutter with name calling and cursing. Meanwhile back in hockey reality an unprecedented season continues to unfold.
