Unless you're stupid, the comparison of Boyle to Glass is 100% on the money. One, both players were taking up a roster spot from a superior talent. Two, both Boyle and Glass brought nothing to the team. Boyle's only strength was his offense and offensively, he's a non factor. He isn't good defensively. He can't clear the crease. He doesn't hit. He doesn't win battles in the corner. He does nothing. Exactly like Glass.
Boyle was brought here for one and only one reason. His offense and PP skills. Right now, he is 6th out of 6 defenseman in points. In other words, exactly like Glass last year, he brings NOTHING to the team. Is he better than what many other teams use as a 6th defenseman. Yep. Is he better for this team than McIlrath? Not in a million years. I tried to tell some on this board last year who downplayed a 4th line wing. You CAN NOT HAVE A WEAK LINK ON A STANLEY CUP WINNING TEAM. Get a clue.
