Rangers vs Sens

Boyle has caused huge problems when he plays against bigger teams. He gets pinned in constantly. Now to be fair, McIlrath played against 2 big teams in Winnipeg and Washington. I pointed out in that craps game, there were basically no runs other than one by Ovie taken on any Rangers player. Problem in that game was Staal, Girardi and McDonagh were atrocious and got man handled in their own zone. Everybody knows hockey is 2 seasons. While this defense is very good in the first two runs, it is obvious it runs out of gas and is physically beaten up when it gets to the third rounds of these playoffs. AV needs to change that. If the guy had any brains, this great start is the best thing that could happen to his team. He can start resting all kinds of defenseman and play McIlrath. Girardi should be given days off along with Staal, McDonagh, Klein and Boyle. Yandle is the only guy playing for a contract.

When your brain works like an adult Chuck, I'll treat you like one. When you make moronic points that are stupid, I'll tell you that you are a moron. Boyle brings nothing to this team. Just like Glass last year. It can't be disputed. He was brought here for only one reason. His offense on the PP. His offense sucks beyond belief this year. Therefore, he brings NOTHING to the team.

Now there I agree with you dump. I would also rest some of our dmen as the season moves on...especially Staal and Girardi. My hope is as we get into the dog days of winter and towards the middle of the season, AV will do this.

Staal and G do not need to play 80 games each. They can both play 72-75 games each +/- and we'll be perfectly fine.

Hopefully AV will see it the same way as the season moves along, especially if we continue to win and rack up the points over the next few weeks.

So Prod and I are moronic and our brains don't work like adults I guess dump because we are saying the EXACT SAME THING...LOL.

You continue to be a child dump and we'll continue to be amused by your rants. But I again say please don't stop doing what you do...I enjoy reading your posts.

You go man...

Here is one very simple stat to prove the point that Boyle is nothing like Glass.

Last year the Rangers had the best goal differential in the NHL at +60. Next was TB at +51. Then STL at +47. So a real comfortable edge for us in that metric.

Last year Fast was a -1. NO OTHER PLAYER on the whole team that played more than 14 games was a - on the team...Sheppard was a -1 in 14 games and after that no player who played more than 7 games was a -...and overall we had 5 players at -1 and Malone was a -4 in 6 games.

MEANWHILE Glass was a -12....yes a -12 when no other even semi-regular player was a - ON THE WHOLE TEAM outside of Fast at -1. -12 on a team that was +60 in goal differential overall...

This year so far Boyle is a +6, right in the middle of the pack on the team.

AGAIN...NO COMPARISON between Glass and Boyle.

Now your comeback will be +/- means nothing and is a useless stat, and guess what I don't love it either, but this isn't a little difference where a few players were a - in the same area, this is a HUGE standout difference where one awful player Glass was by himself by a mile. Meanwhile Boyle is right in the middle. Not killing us and not really helping us.

No matter how you try dump, Glass and Boyle simply are not comparable with regards to how much they are hurting the team.

Bringing nothing to the team is different than being an active liability and bringing down the players around him, as Glass did.

I haven't looked at these stats but based on the eye test id say Boyle offensive zone starts are way down compared to before we got Yandle. He's also no longer the go-to guy on the power play. He's not going to get the minutes anymore to get in a rhythm (and he shouldn't). Much different, in my opinion, than going out there and stinking up the joint like Glass who could have played without a damn stick and been no worse off.

Even now i still think the 4th line could use an upgrade as Moore, while still a good player is not really suited to play W.

It's getting ridiculous to see every thread go in the same direction when the team is 13-2-2. It's complaining for the sake of complaining and it's stupid.

^^^^^complaining is contagious. Just got off the TSN
Hockey site.......cannot stop laughing. Montreal fans
are going beserk after Colorado thrashed Les Canadiens
on their home ice 6-1. (Wish it were the Rangers doing
the bashing at Montreal!) Too funny.

No, it's not stupid because the NHL is 2 seasons. Once again, the Rangers should have lost in 5 to the Craps in the second round if not for one mistake by their goalie. This soft defense is not built for the post season against big teams or later rounds. McIlrath will go a long way into changing that.

Yeah and the year they went to the finals they should've lost to the Pens but they didn't. The Kings had to come back from down 3-0 in a series that year and they won the cup. Going that route is pointless. They lost in the Conference Finals last year because they had schizophrenic scoring. I'm not saying McIlrath cannot be an option but there's way too much overrating going on here with some people. You act like Bobby Orr is being kept on the sidelines. At 13-2-2 I'm worried about this year not last year's Washington series.
