The Fan just announced that Lewis was suspended for the first 10 games of the season for violating the league drug policy.

So he can shoot a HIGH percentage.

Well... most players who sign such a massive and undeserved contract get lazy. At least he's trying to be in shape (in a half-assed way).

So it was more like a steroid, HGH type drug. Eh.. it could be worse.

I doubt it was HGH. That stuff is actually hard to test for.

There are quite a few substances on the market which will increase testosterone levels that aren't HGH. I read about one that a few NFL players took and got suspended for because the ingredient was "unlisted". The policies clearly state that players must know what they are taking though, so its on them.

Hell when I saw the title of the thread I was wondering how anybody in Miami even stays on the team with the club scene that is present there.

Actually I believe if any athlete wants to take steroids on their own, that is their own thing and they can make that decision. Having a team push you to take something is one thing. But if you want to do performance enhancing substances, I view it as nothing more than controlling your diet. To each their own.

You would think he would consult the teams doctor before taking any kind of supplements.

Lewis is primarily a spot up shooter. Did the HGH help his accuracy?

really? so then every other athlete in the sport has to ruin their body to keep up with the competition? That sounds like a pretty messed up league to me, think of baseball if the players were allowed to take it, there would be 2-3 clean guys per lineup per team MAX

Which many players and reporters have been saying was the case in the late-90s/early-00s. The line between "healthy" and "unhealthy" supplements to get the most out of one's body is fairly blurry. I'm not entirely sure where the line should be drawn, or even if one should be. Up to high school, I understand laws against it...regulating what children can do has merit. I'm somewhat willing to let adults make their own choices for their bodies.

No, that's pretty much the worst it can get.

OK, so you would be more upset if KP traded for this guy than the anal rapist? :devilwink:

It's good to slowly get a ranking of the mortal offenses, per Maris.

Too bad it wasn't a longer suspension! He'll be back by the time we play there in December.

What HGH does isn't help his shooting stroke. You still have to be able to shoot. Bonds can have all the power he wants, but he still has to have great hand eye coordination to hit the ball.

HGH provides metabolic benefits such as helping the body burn more fat than usual, and serves as a protein-sparing agent as well. Taking HGH triggers the release of fatty acids from fat stores and the body winds up burning more fat than carbohydrates to meet energy requirements. And testosterone when used in normal doses, in conjunction with HGH is an extremely potent supplement cocktail from which any athlete would benefit greatly.

In other words, HGH can keep his legs fresher late in games to shoot 3's more consistantly. He could, if he chose to, work harder on defense without it affecting his shooting as well.

except they aren't just adults. They are employees of a very large company, and if the company says this and this are illegal, you can't do them. If you do, you should be fired, that's how i see it anyway. They are cheaters, and bad employees. They make themselves, and the company look bad

He took a supplement with DHEA in it. A designer (legal) testosterone booster.

I agree with that. If there are rules against something and you're caught breaking those rules, be prepared to suffer the consequences. I'm just saying that, philosophically, I'm not that wound up about steroids/HGH and wouldn't mind pro sports rules against them being removed.

It can also help Sylvester Stallone make Rambo IV which is the number one reason why it should be banned.
