Just cut the check, Rashweed.
I never understood the "Rashweed" thing... Vescey came up with it, and it didn't seem that clever to me.
I really don't care what Rasheed does with his properties. Sounds like he doesn't ever go to this house maybe he forgot theres taxes on it. Maybe he gave the house to a deadbeat relative. Maybe he is walking away from the house. The story doesn't tell us enough to judge unless you've already decided how Sheed should be judged in all situations.
The article says, the neighbors say, it's been unoccupied for years.
From the hatred in that KATU article I'm thinking...can the semi-employed Jason Quick find a job with KATU?
No, what it tells me is that he owes the County 150k. I don't need anything more to judge. The County should put a lien on the home and take it since he obviously has the money to pay for the taxes owed. They'd do that to you or me.

Pretty sleazy to approach someone trying to work with this. It is his business why taxes have not been paid.
Unpaid taxes are a matter of public record.
Don't care about this story. In time, the government will get what's owed as they always do. What is freaking obscene is that we live in a state where you can have to pay taxes of that amount just to own your home. Our property tax system is broken and the people seem too indifferent to change it.
Because some people think pot is some terrible drug. Most people don't care at all.
Yeah, most people really don't care about deadbeats who don't pay their debts. But it is surprising when a guy who made $80 million while living in Portland doesn't bother to pay his back taxes.I really don't care what Rasheed does with his properties.
Yeah, that's the ticket! He just forgot about those taxes. Happens to people all the time when confronted with a $150,000 bill.Sounds like he doesn't ever go to this house maybe he forgot theres taxes on it.
Uh, huh. I'm sure Wallace is doing the right thing, because he's known as a guy who always does the right thing.Maybe he gave the house to a deadbeat relative. Maybe he is walking away from the house. The story doesn't tell us enough to judge unless you've already decided how Sheed should be judged in all situations.
Gee, I don't know. It seems perfect to me.I never understood the "Rashweed" thing... Vescey came up with it, and it didn't seem that clever to me.
So if you have any delinquent bills, it would be ok for KATU to send a trenchcoat reporter to your place of work and ask about it?
If I owed $150k in back taxes, and was a public figure who took a giant dump on the city when I moved elsewhere, I'd assume that the media in the town I insulted would report it.
