Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA Ray Allen has informed Boston that he has decided to sign with Miami, league source tells Y! Sports.

One source close to Ray Allen said in past few hours, "Ray's thinking about another ring, golf, sun as a way to end his career."

Privately, Ray Allen had insisted to people that he didn't believe the city of Boston would be too hard on him for signing with Miami.

Allen believes the capital he's built up playing for UConn and the Celtics would supercede signing with Miami. He's probably misjudged that.

No wonder Ray didn't sign here, Olshey didn't even bother to make a presentation to him.

I still think lakers could win it all next year with nash.

Did you see what Kobe did to Rubio last season? The first time Nash don't give Kobe the ball in the 4th quarter Kobe will take him out.

Sly, you're the shit... Nothing else.

That's it...I'm going to boo the crap out of MIA when they come to the RG!

maybe pa could green light a front loaded max offer for oj mayo?

Most interesting to me is Woj and others tweeting about the rift between Rondo and Allen contributing to him bolting for Miami.

Thank god we didn't trade for that head-case like so many wanted back at the deadline.

Just wait till the rest of the nation starts running out of drinking water, then Portland will become a FA mecca.

Just because he didn't get along with one guy doesn't mean you don't just trade for one of the 5 best PG's in the game

Am I wrong for thinking ray allen is a traitor for signing with his rival team the heat? Tell me what u think!!!!!!

There's plenty of stories floating around about Rondo and it wasn't just a rift with one guy.

This is just in line with Nash begging the Suns to sign and trade him to the Lakers.

Proposed new rule for the next CBA: If you've been an all-star more than once you cannot sign with or be traded to any team with a prior-year record better than 44-38.

Nice move by the Heat. Allen is going to feast on the three-pointers off James and Wade kick-outs.

They're going to be even more fun to watch next year.

Jack's perception bugs the hell out of me. Nobody calls Nash a traitor for going to the Lakers, or Terry for going to the Celtics for that matter, but for some reason, Allen is a different story. Does everyone forget that he played 2/3rd's of his career with Milwaukee and Seattle. Hell, when you ask me a about Ray Allen, I picture him in a Sonics jersey. That's where his best years were. It's not like Paul Pierce left them for the Heat.

Also, what happened to the Lakers rivalry? People are just sour against the Miami Heat. I've been reading ESPN comments (mistake, I know...) and everyone is just bashing the hell out of him for going to a rival. It seems like everyone out East is a rival of the Heat nowadays. Let's be real; the C's rival is LAL.

I hereby call both Nash and Terry traitors.

Haha.

Another thing, the Celtics tried to trade Allen for O.J. Mayo and the #25 pick just before the trade deadline, but the trade fell through. It was so close that Doc Rivers told Allen to pack his bags though. Now, he's a traitor for leaving Boston in free agency.

When the big three pulled this crap in Miami creating a super team I knew this shit would happen next! The flood gates to only a handful of super teams is now greenlighted... This is now just getting ridiculous!

Where is the NBA's sense of any kind of FAIR PLAY!!

How many freakin Allstars do you need on one damn team?

As Larry Bird said.... "it bothers me to see players taking pay cuts simply to win rings, but there are alot of players that like riding the coattails of champions"

Some people will say "WOW Miami should be a fun team to watch"..... I say to them, didn't ya get enough Globetrotters in your childhood?

It's sad to say but the rest of the NBA for the conceivable future will be the sacrificial Generals...
