I’ve endured through the dog days of summer (the Sly days of summer?).

Slogged through the slow days of September.

I am ready for the exciting days of October. Training camp.
Preseason.
Regular season.
How do the newbies fit?
How does Collins look?
Does Ant deserve the hype?
How big does Little fit in our plans?
Has Shawn Kemp lost 20 pounds again?

And most importantly (for some at least), who is this year’s scapegoat? Meyers gone. Turner gone. Aminu & Harkless gone. Who gets the thorny crown? Who?

It all starts in just a few more days.

Woohoo!

Most likely scapegoat would be Whiteside if he struggles early. I’ll think he’ll be fine though.

Disagree, now things can change like how they look during that 10-10, but I'd be pretty happy if they were .500 by the end of december. Now they would certainly have their work to do, but long road trips are brutal...
Exactly. 7-10 or 8-9 would be a 50 win pace if taking schedule into account. Gotta slay those hypothetical narratives though!

Shit, if we are 10-10 after 20, I’ll be ecstatic. That’s a tough schedule.

That could (should?) probably be a thread all unto itself.

My money is on Collins, with Bazemore a close second.

Ecstatic is a bit extreme but it would be a 50 win pace.

EDIT - When accounting for strength of schedule.

We will start 10-10 and everybody will be freaking out!
If they start 10-10 they will have done very well. But yes a bunch will be calling for a new coach and the trade half the team. Fire Olshey will be the talk all over the board. Then there will be the media bashing the slow start and team chemistry.

Ah, exactly what I was waiting for! The king of calling out hypothetical opinions before they happen!

Olshey gets a pass. He made the right moves, and sometimes the right moves dont pan out.

How about calling for a new coach at 0-0? Is that better?

Is that the best you can do @BonesJones? I expect more from you - like the hypothetical trade the high-priced guy for the up-and-comer that will be on a rookie contract! Yes! Now is the time to trade Dame for a chance to draft LaMelo!

I, in response to your ridiculous hypothetical trade, would state that LaMelo is overrated AND Dad comes along with him - Please no! Not to mention that trading Dame is to trade the heart-and-soul of the team and that by merely suggesting such an idea you should be stoned for blasphemy!

Shun the unbeliever!

:mob:

Here is a fantastic video by @BonesJones breaking down the early schedule and it's impact on the rest of the season.

How about this one? So you can pay and get a guest appearance?

It will happen and in the case of 0-0 on the coach it already has. Not so sure how you would call this "Hypothetical".

I think YouTube is a little out of your element, ha ha.

Well i guess so if you have to pay to be on the podcast? I would think you would pay people to be part of it? But yes You Tube is quite a bit out of my element.
