In the playoffs we had by far the most PP opportunities. Total PPO's were 100+, well ahead of 2nd place, LA, who had 85. On a per-game basis, we averaged 4.12 PPO per game, with 2nd highest @ 3.85 (ANA). This is from teams that played more than 10gms.

The refs did all they could to help us.

You might have a hard time convincing hank, zucc, the announcers and ranger fans on that one. We are not talking about the entire playoffs here. Just 2 pivotal calls in a 5 game series both that were beyond explanation and both had a direct impact on 2 of the 5 games. The refs in this series sucked. The kings had a good enough team to win without the extra help they got

the direct impact came from the horseshit turnovers they had in the first 2 gms, but mostly importantly getting shut out in Gm 3 when they could have gotten right back in the series.

Yeah, but we got our fair share of calls also. That is what gets missed in here. The call in Nash's favor in OT in game 2 was comical. The difference is the Kings cashed in their big chances. We did not and went 2-22 on the PP.

And on top of that NEITHER call gave the Kings the lead. One tied the game, the other we still had the lead after they scored. So in both cases we had TONS of time and chances to makeup for a potential bad call.

And if we cashed in when we got calls in our favor, and weren't 2-22 on the PP, things would have been way different.

You want to focus on something, focus on us not cashing in our chances like the Kings did, and us going 2-22 on the PP. That is where my focus is.

I surrender. I agree with you two now. After further analysis the refs were great and the rangers should have just scored more. Don't know what the hell I was thinking or looking at. Ha ha ha.

i mean yeah we didn't capitlize on our chances, definitely with the # of PPs we had we wouldn't be in that situation if we had a better PP, i was just stating our PP was light years better then last years, it looked decent at times. I think it was one of those things is richards is on his game the PP would be good (since he is the qb on the PP) and if he was having a shit game our PP would be shit, its one of the things that MSL helped, krieder helped, we also didn't have krieder for part of that drought, Krieder is the key to the PP with his body in front. He is good. real good there. Now that richards is gone, krider full season, av has training camp bring in some players see what he can do. It should get better from here guys.
