Dante's Inferno... What a joke. This game not only completely copies God of War, but it's based on some old ass poem from like fucking B.C. or some shit. THOUSANDS of years ago. Really? Come on. These guys who made this game not only lack creativity for their story, but for their gameplay as well. I felt like I was playing a shitty watered-down God of War game when I tried out the demo. Haha, for anyone that owns the game, have you ever just stood still and noticed that weirdo's pose? Trying to look all tough and shit? Hmm... Someone really admires Kratos.
And what's up with all the tits? Are they really trying to impress us or something? Okay, maybe use it once, but for EVERY FUCKING FEMALE ENEMY? That's not cool. Worst of all, what's up with finishing off enemies the style that God of War has always had? Which is, pressing a certain button that appears on top of the battered enemy. Come on. Then you have Dante getting on top of this big ass bull thing and have you take full control of the bull to fight off your enemies. Hasn't Kratos done something similar like that with Titans? Wasn't Kratos shown doing that in a trailer a year before Dante's Inferno came out? I think so.
LMFAO, I just couldn't help but post this. I got it straight out of YouTube. Some chick has a huge monster cock that moves around after coming out of her vagina.
Honestly, I don't mind games that somewhat copy others. For example, games like Saints Row and True Crime to Grand Theft Auto. But this Dante's Inferno game was just straight up sad. This was just ridiculous.
You know just cause one game does something doesn't mean it exclusively owns that kind of game. Button pressing combos and kills has been seen in many games in the PS3 era, not just Dantes. God of War did it first I believe, but that does not mean that noone else can do it. That is like saying, the first person who thought up using slow-mo fighting in a game is the only person allowed to do it. Examples of games who have done button mashing kills or fighting for PS3: Uncharted and Star Wars: Force Unleashed are two that I own, that do this.
And the poem is a classic poem, don't tell me that it doesn't take creativity to visualize a poem from an era that was very lacking in visual effects to tell a tale. They took a story and visualized it for an audience. With your line of reasoning of why it lacks creativity to use the Divine Comedy, I can say that God of War copies alot of Greek mythology as well, which is older than the Divine Comedy.
And don't even disrespect the creators and design people by saying they just crudely through vulgar and perverted images there just to do it. Go watch Developer's Diaries, go read the damn poem. These people have inspirations for their work, a work they love and put hard work to, and to ridicule it to that kind of base is just flat disrespectful.
Your ignorance is just depressing.
I play games for the story. To be captivated by a story, the environment, the personalities, and everything surrounding those aspects of a game. It's like when I read, its to transport myself into another world.
The saddest thing about this, is that I own God of War, and I didn't even mind, because it is two different worlds, stories, and characters. Get the fuck over it.
