Red Sox Used Video Replay Room to Steal Signs

En route to winning the World Series in 2018, the Boston Red Sox reportedly used their replay room to decode the opposition's signs.
According to Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich of The Athletic, three anonymous people who were part of the Red Sox organization in 2018 said some players went to the replay room during games to gain information regarding their opponents' signs.
"We were recently made aware of allegations suggesting the inappropriate use of our video replay room," the Red Sox said in a statement, via Rosenthal. "We take these allegations seriously and will fully cooperate with MLB as they investigate the matter."

He needs to get a lengthy suspension along with that tool hinch as well as anyone on the management ladder above them in boston and houston that knew which is probably most of them

Suspension's need to be long and strong.

I'd love to see both Teams having to forfeit their Series trophies. When that occurs; then everyone will begin to take the rules seriously...

I gotta believe that there's a better way for the bench/catcher/pitcher to communicate.

Per ESPN Sports any further punitive actions toward personnel below General or Field Manager Level will be taken care of by the club itself.

MLB and MLBPA need to get together and address the sign stealing problem and commit to player penalties/fines/suspensions for their rolls in future violations...the players after all, are just as culpable.

Cora quits

"We agreed today that parting ways was the best thing for the organization," Cora said in Tuesday's statement. "I do not want to be a distraction to the Red Sox as they move forward. My two years as manager were the best years of my life. It was an honor to manage these teams and help bring a World Series Championship back to Boston."

that little fkng cocksucker piece of shit. He giggles like a little girl too.

I hope this scandal destroys the careers of Altuve, Bregman, Springer, etc etcetera!!!
I hope the only question these fkrs ever hear from here to the end of their careers: "Why did you cheat"? "Why don't you come out and tell the fkng truth"? You threw the Mgr under the bus, after he broke your TV, why???

They're certainly gonna be continually asked questions for the upcoming season and maybe even beyond...the story will follow them and their franchise. Every time one of them goes on a hot streak or a slump people will wonder...and I'd imagine that several of the Astros players/batters will get plunked by pissed off opposing pitchers.

Baseball theft can also be a lesson on on how to prevent Identity theft.

Since 2017 the local Yankees Hater has greeted me with "Altuve, Yankee Killer". Saw him last Friday since this scandal broke and the things I mentioned to him about Altuve and some of the other "Stros" addressed many non-politically correct remarks from my perspective. Were I to print them on this board I'd have been banned forever. The individual had no remarks as I proceeded to dish out opinions. Not a big fan of Chris Rose but the man was on the mark when he stated that the Astros will be wearing this for a long time. That team should be prime time recipients of chin music in '20.

The more I think about what these two franchises accomplished by cheating, the more I feel the
punishment is not strong enough. The league must punish the players & the teams.......take away
the players’ WS rings, take away the teams’ championships. They deserve nothing!
It is no secret that cheating has been occurring in all facets of sports. So, why are these incidents
different? Both Houston & Boston won championships because of their cheating. Hit the players
and their teams where it hurts........for their lifetime.

....^^^^ exactly~!!
They got away with it. Obviously, they all felt the League wouldn't do more than slap 'em on the hands, then penalize the Owner with a $$$ fine. The players showed no respect for the rules or game, and they deserve NO respect, NO Rings, NO Trophy, and oh by the way, y'all owe us (MLB) that Monetary Bonus $$$ back...!!!
