What moves will come back to bite the Yankees in the ass?

IMO It'll be the loss of Martin Prado who I feel was exactly the type of player & leader that the Yankees have needed for several years. And Shane Greene who I think is capable of winning 15+ games this coming season.

...yup, touched on that a few times, and just referenced it again in the Moncada thread...and I'll also again point to the Yanx eventually regretting letting Cervelli go.

...Cashman making moves just for the sake of saying he did something isn't much of a "plan" to me...again, how are we better?

One step forward........two steps back. This has to be one of the more frustrating seasons I've seen. And I'll probably spend as much time looking at the box scores of our traded players (Prado, Greene, Cervelli etc) as I will the Yankees box score.

Prado, Greene and Cervelli have the greatest potential to create regrets.

Now given all those gymnastics, I regret losing the known entities Cano and Robertson.

Even with Dumb & Dumber calling the shots, I don't think there is anyway for Cashman to duck this albatross.... He wears it, he owns it.

Heck even Girardi started the year off saying....I got a whole new team to learn.

In one of my few optimistic views of this team I'd think that McCann & Murphy will be a good tandem, Cervelli I think will shine in Pittsburgh showing he can be the "A" dog behind the Dish, glad to see him get a shot.

I too, and I think most of us, will miss Cervelli, Prado, and Greene. I'm over curious how McCarthy's career will resume in L.A. He suprised me in NY, after a very dismal career in AZ.

I've been thinking all month now, in fact, and I don't mind saying, it, tho' I also realize this player, dissed the Yanks more than He said the Yanks dissed him. That would be Robinson Cano....Yep, the Yanx need a solid player, who would of had to carry the team, over many periods, when no one else could or would, ie Beltran, Tex, and a few others.

No doubt, Cano would of made a difference, but I think were all over and done, with the mention of Cano....but one can't deny he could of and would of helped the Team.

I'd of loved to of seen D-Rob, as well as the southpaw O's reliever, working in tandem.....I would of had a very hard time, tho' parting with 15 mil for him, but we all knew a team would do just that. That's why I like pay for performance incentive laden contracts, if a player like D-rob did well enough, then he could of reached the 15 million $$$ plateau, and in following years, then some....

I can't refute these words, and can't defend Cashman either...This IS what our rivals and press are painting a pic of for the Yanx 015 season, hard to swallow, harder to read, and there is no free anger management, for Yanx Fans, WTF...?

Last year I posted that the acquisition of Beltran, Ellsbury, and McCann would negate the loss of Cano. Unfortunately not to be, the pitching staff fell apart, Beltran wimped, McCann handled the staff well, failed at the dish. Ellsbury had little support in a line up that failed in offense and defense. As far as Cano goes I still say fuck him, he made his choice then sniveled that the Yankees "disrespected" him.

I've got to agree on Cano, the Yankees made him a very nice offer. He had his lowest HR (14) & RBI (82) totals since 2008. Seattle can have him.

Team wise I agree but I really don't see him matching the production that he would have had with the Yankees. As was proven last year.

Possible but it wasn't like the opposing pitchers were walking him because he only walked about 60 times. Besides didn't he have Seager (25 HRs & 96 RBI) hitting behind him? And just a feeling but I really don't see Cruz hitting 40 HRs in Seattle. Hell I'll be surprised if he sniffs 30.
