Relatives currently/formerly in armed forces?

How many of you have had/have family members who have been in any of the armed forces?Both of my Great-Grandfathers were in WWIOne of my Grandfathers was in WWII, the other was in the Air Force but never went to war.My Cousin is currently training to get into the Air Force.I actually am thinking about joining in the Air Force later on in life. I love fighter jets, and it's always been something that interests me. Whether it be actually flying a plane into combat, or in a base working with computers, it's something I'm thinking about.

Both of my grandfathers were in the military, my paternal one in WW2 and my maternal one in Korea. That's it in my family. I don't intend on changing that, and if there's a draft I'm happy I'm a dual citizen of the US and Canada.

My dad was in the army for Cambodia during the fight against the Khmer Rouge and Vietnam.

Another one that's about Burma and very underrated is Beyond Rangoon.

My dad is currently a Military police officer, he is apart of the Naval reserve. My grandfather fought in World War 2...

One of my grandfathers fought in WW2. The other fought in both WW2 and Korean War, in WW2 he fought under Patton. My Uncle got drafted and fought in Vietnam, it is sad though because he had shell shock and got into alcohol which killed him (cancer from it) when I was 3. I think he also did drugs.

Or is a military police officer something different?</div>Well, my dad is a US Marshall/Police officer for his career job. His military police position is similar to his everyday job. They arrest people who trespass, drunken navy members, ect. They seem to be the main guys in Iraq right now, I'm glad my dad hasn't been called to go yet.

My dad was in Vietnam; served six tours there. he was in the Marines for 18 years before he was medically discharged.My grandfather on my moms side was in the army, and served under General Patton. My grandfather on my dads side was in the army as well, but was wounded during training and by the time he recovered the war was over. my great grandfather on my dads side was a seaman aboard the West Virginia from the mid 30s until his death in 1941 when the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor. My great grandfather on my grandmas side was in the Army during the Spanish American, and first world wars.

Both my Grandpa's were in WWII....Sadly, I only know the details and stories from one of them, as the other hasn't lived on to tell me about it.My one Grandfather was a Sergeant in WWII...He said it was pretty crazy over there...My Uncle, who's really not "blood" related to me as my Aunt really is, but he served in the national guard for many many years.

My grandfather on my Dad's side was in World War II against the Japs. I think back then, China was split into two, the communists and the.. other one.. wow I forgot wut they were. well my grandpa wasnt a comunist, and basically, all the people dat weren communists got kicked off to Taiwan. My grandpa stayed in mainland china somehow tho. he's still alive, hes like 88 now? holy sh*t.. I just realized hes that old. and he wants to come to America.. soon.. O.O

My grandfather was in the air force for a while and flew an airplane that fueled other airplanes in the air. And my other grandfather was going to fight in WWII but he couldn't because of his athsma problems. And my uncle was in the draft for the Vietnam War but he never got drafted.

I remember this one story he told me that his crew or w.e were taking a rest some where out in the forest or something then they were all laying on broken down trees and sh*t and my dad and 2 of his friends heard some noise, he was cautious and told everyone to get ready incase something happens, nothing happened for like about 15 minutes and then my dad spotted one of Khmer Rouge so he told 2 of his friends and the rest of his crew to run, Only 3 people made it alive. My Dad and his 2 friends. He's very lucky.

My brother was in the marines... I know he went to the Mediterranean... Turkey and stuff, but I don't remember every single place specifically.A couple of my uncles were in the military. I'll be damned if I know or care which branches.
