I asked for evidence. You didn't provide any.

But that guy has no feet. So I don't think the shoe fits.

barfo

You're blind (and oblivious to actual evidence of actual wrongdoing). How do you know?

House Intel votes to release Dem countermemo

The House Intelligence Committeeon Mondayvoted unanimously to release a memo drafted by Democrats to rebut a GOP-crafted document alleging surveillance abuses at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The 10-page classified document now goes to President Trump, who has five days to block its release if he so chooses. It remains an open question whether he will.

Declassified FISA order:

On October 24, 2016, the government orally apprised the Court of significant non-compliance with the NSA’s minimization procedures involving queries of data acquired under Section 702 using U.S. person identifiers. The full scope of non-compliant querying practices had not been previously disclosed to the Court

On January 3, 2017, the government made a further submission describing its efforts to ascertain the scope and causes of those compliance problems and discussing potential solutions to them. See January 3, 2017, Supplemental Notice of Compliance Incidents Regarding the Querying of Section 701-Acquired Data (“January 3, 2017 Notice”). The Court was not satisfied that the government had sufficiently ascertained the scope of the compliance problems or developed and implemented adequate solutions for them and communicated a number of questions and concerns to the government.

The Grassley thing seems rather petty, although it's hard to know exactly what the allegation is. Even if it were actually true that Steele lied about something to the FBI, it would hardly be the first time an FBI source lied, and it wouldn't invalidate any of the information he provided which has or will be confirmed by other methods. It smells a lot like shooting the messenger.

The false nature of the information invalidates itself just fine. Russian misinformation - that is something they're good at.

If lying to the FBI is no big deal, let Trump's former associates indicted by Mueller go free.

It's a big deal in terms of Steele himself - if he lied in a criminal way, then charge him with lying. That's fine.

It's no big deal in the big picture, however. Steele isn't the beginning or the end of 'this Trump/Rusher thing'.

Yeah, but sniffing out Russian misinformation is something Steele has a very long track record of being good at.

He sure was.

As the facts show, the whole Russia collusion thing was a fiction, created by the Clinton campaign.

Yet his memo is full of misinformation and falsehoods, proven so.

Nunes's memo provided proof that Steele wasn't at all the genesis of the 'Rusher' collusion thing. Papadapolous was.

Nah, the Clinton campaign was the genesis of the Russia, Russia, Russia narrative.

They don't call CNN the Clinton News Network for nothin'

Yes, the Clinton camp got Papadapolous drunk in London, arranged for him to talk to an Australian, and then arranged for the Australian to contact the FBI.

The Clinton camp hacked themselves and pinned it on the Russkies.

The Clinton camp forced Sessions, Page, Trump Jr, Kushner etc. to meet multiple times with Russians and then lie about it repeatedly.

Yes, it was all Clinton, and you aren't a bit obsessed about her, either.

Right. And it was the Russians who wrote all the stuff in Clinton’s emails, showing what a crook she really is.

Those guys met with too many people to count. It’s no shock that one or two might have been a foreigner.

Ha ha. And did they lie about all their other meetings too?

One guy lied. "They" is a pipe dream on your part.

Government spied on Carter Page for years and they didn't find a single thing resembling a whiff of collusion. Your narrative is in terrible shape. No, make that "your narrative is utter bullshit."

Hah! Sounds like someone is having trouble with reality again. Don't worry, you can unskew the indictments!

As for how many guys lied: Flynn and PapaG have already pleaded guilty to lying. Sessions lied to congress about his meetings with the Russians. Jared forgot that he'd ever met any Russians at all. Trump Jr. said he'd just had a meeting about adoptions. So... how is that just one guy?

Carter Page - you don't know what the government did or didn't find. There is some indication that they found something, because the FISA warrant was renewed 3 times.
