<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">June 3, 2003 -- SAN ANTONIO - Tony Parker dissed his French countryman yesterday - the Knicks' 1999 first-round pick Frederic Weis.
Parker can't decide which is worse, the spoiled Creme Brulee that caused his food poisoning last Friday or a 7-2 French pastry named Weis.

"Too soft," said Parker, who was on the French National Team with Weiss and played against him in the French League. "He's really not that good. They're going to kill him if he came to New York. He can't play in the NBA."

Perhaps Parker is bitter Weis gave French basketball a bad name, causing his own slide to the last pick in first round of the 2001 draft. "I was mad on Draft Day about slipping but I'm happy now because it gave San Antonio a chance to draft me," Parker said.

Knicks GM Scott Layden, in Chicago yesterday for the pre-draft camp, recently said he'd invite Weis to the summer league.

Parker had better reviews for the Knicks European second-rounder, point guard Milos Vujanic.

"He's good," Parker said. "He can play. He's got a pretty good chance of playing in the NBA." </div>
