On a more serious note: isn't it odd how many cons who decry big government also embrace big business and big religion? One can do no right, while the others can do no wrong.

Government has the rights that we, as a society, give it. Not that you really believe that "government has no right to infringe upon the lives of Americans"...do you really think that government has no right to infringe upon the life of someone who murders people?

Government is all about choices. We elect the people who make the laws regarding why and when government can infringe upon the lives of its citizens. Unless you're an anarchist, it's never about "government or no government." It's about society deciding how much government.

Nature abhors a vacuum., even a power vacuum. When power decreases in one institution, it increases in another. The reason conservative legislators (taking orders from their rich contributors) want to weaken government is to increase profit for their rich benefactors in the business world.

It doesn't matter what I think about polygamy or the CNN claims. Seems like a State issue not the The Labor Department. Again, looks like a family or two out harvesting, perhaps the Judge was using more wisdom than you think.

Or, perhaps you are taking the photo a little too literally. Hint: pecans do not grow in the dirt, and are not harvested with pitchforks.

Possibly, the CNN claim had to do with Pecans. The picture is the people working the community garden. I don't expect they are the same.

Because I am not interested. The case was is done and seems rightly so. Why the hell is a Federal department investigating what should be a State issue if it is any issue. Hooray for Hobby Lobby or what ever ends this abuse.
