I know Spud does. Jackie Stiles led Southwest Missouri State to their only NCAA Final Four appearance. Until last year she held the NCAA scoring record and was also a track star.
Jackie was drafted by the Portland Fire of the WNBA and won Rookie of the Year. Her pro career was cut short by injuries including 13 surgeries and she now coaches at her alma mater (now called Missouri State).
Jackie was diagnosed with a rare cancer, ocular melanoma. Although caught early, she may lose some sight and cancer is cancer.
