Even he lost. "Mr. Referendum" Scott Brown. Yeah, that one.

Ooops.

no, who is he?

He lost to a crazy woman who lied and said she was a Native American to get her into Harvard Law school

Scott Brown was the dude elected to stop ObamaCare with a filibuster vote, but afterward the Democrats just called it a budget reconciliation bill and passed it anyhow without having to go through Senate channels for the final bill.

That guy? Meh.

He lost to a crazy woman who lied and said she was a Native American to get her into Harvard Law school

And a lot of Democrats want her to run for president in 4 years, what a joke.

Scott Brown is a good man. One of the only people in the Senate to actually reach across the aisle. He's also a harbinger of things to come. The national electorate will look like Massachusetts' in a few years. The GOP's idea of a "conservative" will be Scott Brown and a "moderate" will have the views of Elizabeth Warren.

Cool.

Scott Brown voted against the Paycheck Fairness Act. He voted against renewing the Violence Against Women Act. He voted for the Blunt Amendment, which would have let employers' veto employees' birth control. I am not sure how he got this "reach across the aisle" rep, as he voted for nearly every filibuster to block either a bill or a nominee that had majority, but not 60 vote majority, support. He lost to Elizabeth Warren, former Harvard professor and consumer advocate. He did so by ridiculing her education (in a state with more colleges per capita than any other), her looks, and her heritage. He claimed he "knew" she was not Native American by looking at her, although her mother is half Native American. His supporters jeered her with fake Native "war whoops". Essentially, he ran like a high school in crowd jock kid against a nerd. Which works in high school. It did not work in Massachusetts.

I am reminded of the saying, sometimes attributed to Bill Gates although in fact he did not say it, "Be kind to nerds. You'll probably end up working for one."

I think Elizabeth Warren will be a fabulous senator; in fact, I donated to her campaign, something I very rarely do, even though I live in California. Not surprised the jock boys on this board don't like her. I'm sure her constituents will.

Warren is obviously playing Indian. Like every other wannabe in existence, she has a rumor of a Cherokee (princess) in her background. Acknowledging that tiny alleged part of her heritage is one thing, but she listed herself as Native, period, in a cookbook, a directory, and a job application or diversity report.

She hasn't answered any of the key questions about her claims. Why did she switch from white to Native to white again? If she wanted to "network," why didn't she join a Native group or get involved in Native issues? She admits she told at least one school she was Native. How is that assumed identity not a crass career move to jump ahead of the line?

To replace Ted Kennedy, Scott Brown defeated Martha Coakley, a fascist crooked prosecutor. (Just read her Wikipedia biography.) Republicans squealed with glee, but the liberal had won. The Republican was more liberal than the Democrat.

Now, he loses to Warren, because this time, the Democrat is more liberal than the Republican. I like the way both elections went.

Please provide a link demonstrating Elizabeth Warren's mother was half Cherokee. It was demonstrably proven she wasn't. She doesn't have a drop of injun blood in her. However, she applied as an American Indian to get jobs at Penn and Harvard. When she got tenure, she dropped it and recognized she was white. She's a liar and a fraud...which I guess makes her perfect for the US Senate.

This post is so full of shit. Warren herself claimed she was only 1/32 Cherokee.

Inform yourself. Your long-winded posts are embarrassing.

Calling out a lie isn't being mean.

I cringe when I attempt to read one of crandc's hateful posts.

Your language is as loaded as hers is though. Take the higher road, man.

PapaG take the higher road?

And when has this ever happened?

Maybe nobody's given him the chance to before. I'm a bit of a soft-hearted sucker though. :D

I'm not bigoted, and I feel that some here overtly are bigoted. At least Shooter had the good sense to stop posting on the OT board, because that guy was as bigoted in his posts as a MickZagger.

I get your point, though. Thanks for trying to calm things down a bit here. I'll try to follow your lead.

What annoys me is when people assume we're bigoted simply because we're right of center. One day, someone is going to have to explain to me how desiring a true meritocracy, getting rid of Affirmative Action and getting the government out of the marriage business is bigoted.

The left's assumption that people of color need special rules for themselves to succeed automatically means they consider them inferior in a competitive environment.

Of course, it's a political ploy, and it keeps the minorities in line with the whites who really run the Democratic party.

Psychology isn't your strong suit.

If the USA invades a country and/or conquers a race of people then the average US citizen can claim to be part of the nationality of the country/people we conquered.

I'm now 1/16th Iraqi and I expect some sort of free government benefit for this.

Yes you do. A drone has been dispatched to your home to kill you.

I have yet to make a single personal attack on Papa G.

The same cannot be said for him.

He never disputes facts, I'm just "hateful" because I don't agree with him.

Some blog said Warren is lying, well that settles it!
Face it. You lost.
