Oladipo is the player Prichard could hope one of the picks turned into.
Right, because every GM hopes the guy they draft turns into a 25-year old below average player making $21 million a year for the next 4 years.
He's still only 24 years old.
He's 25. The same age as Allen Crabbe on an even worse contract.
Sabonis was a higher pick last year than any of the picks we offered.
He was the 11th pick in the worst draft in NBA history, and by some measures the worst player taken in that draft.
Malcom Brogdon, the 2016-17 Rookie of the Year had the lowest scoring average (10.2 ppg) in the entire 65-year history of the Rookie of the Year award.
Even among the shittiest draft in NBA history, Sabonis stood out as being exceptionally bad. Of the 45 players drafted in 2016 that played in the NBA last season, he was tied for dead last in VORP.
Of the 194 NBA players that played at least 1500 minutes last season, he was dead last, 194th, in PER.
If you expand that to the players that played at least 1000 minutes, he fared slight better: 281st out of 282.
Yes, he's a big and we all know bigs take longer to develop, but his rookie stats were much worse than another former 11th pick who was also: a white, American born big man.
Our players outside Dame, CJ and Nurk are not assets
Mo Harkless is every bit as good as Victor Oladipo, a year younger with $54 million less remaining on his contract.
Jezzzus, I know you like to shit on all things Blazers and disagree with EVERYTHING positive anyone ever says about the team but this post takes the cake.
The package IND took from OKC for Paul George was absolute shit. They got a 25-year old below average player on an absolutely hideous contract and a completely underwhelming player from a historically bad draft class when they could have had 3 first round picks in an incredibly deep draft and a younger player on a much more favorable contract.
