From Zach Lowe of Grantland:
The Spurs accepted that risk because waiting to bump up Leonard’s salary gives them the chance to dangle max cap space in front of Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge this summer. Neither is a good bet to leave his current team, but sources around the league have been saying for weeks that the Spurs might get a hearing with Aldridge — and that was before the Oregonian reported that at least one Blazers player thinks there is only a 50-50 chance that Aldridge stays in Portland.
(And no, I wouldn’t take that as gospel, either. Aldridge said before the season that he wants to be the greatest Blazer ever.)
I'm guessing that Blazer player may be named VictorAt least someone gets it!

They sure did!Oh sure, pick on the Spanish guy . . .
If I were betting on his 'heart', I'd say his heart belongs to Texas.LaMarcus would be a fool not to meet with other teams, even if his heart is set on staying in Portland.
I think the phrase is "due diligence," but I ain't done gon't' no fancy larnin' skool like soma you smart fellers...
He's already the best PF in the league. Spurs are old as dirt now. We're young and on the rise. LA will get a ring here..book it!If Aldridge was ever to leave, I would think the Spurs would be the perfect place for him. He is a fundamental player, with good mechanics and likes to play within a system. Pops would make him into the best PF in the game and the spurs are most likely to get him and still compete for a ring, maybe even be the front runner.
Man I hope Lillard can change his mind starting with game 2
Nic was one of the three best performers in Game 1.I've read this twice from you and all I'm going to say is Nic can share in 'that' same responsibility.

<snicker>The only way LMA will win a ring is with the Spurs. It's definitely in his best interest to sign there if he cares more about championships than playing on easy street for club titles.

But they do have a HOF first class coach and arguably the a top 5 PF/C of all time. Now the Blazers could offer him the most money but that's something that not many big men players have the chance to do.Good for LMA. He should be wined and dined. SA is no more (or less) likely to make it out of the first round than us however.
No worries, if LMA leaves Denny says he will grab the domain Spurs2.com
That HOF first class coach is close to retirement, as is the Top 5 PF/C of all time. But they do have a HOF first class coach and arguably the a top 5 PF/C of all time. Now the Blazers could offer him the most miner but that's something that not many big men players have the chance to do.
Well, they can both do better - but even if they both play to their potential we're not advancing. He has more and LA is going to need more if they are going to advance.

Luring in Aldridge could get Pop and Duncan to stay a few more years. Aldridge could just sign short term, get his ring(s) and come back. Who knows? That HOF first class coach is close to retirement, as is the Top 5 PF/C of all time.
I could just see them luring Aldridge with that scenario, then those guys bail. Especially Ginobli -- it's time for the King of the Euro Flop to turn in his sneakers, I think.
Or maybe bigolwomendownthere2.com or goldmine4weightwatchers2.com or cantwearnoVictoriasSecret2.com...
