Thaddeus Young has requested a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Young and his agent, Jim Tanner, submitted a trade request to Sam Hinkie and the Sixers weeks ago, according to a source close to Young.

"Thad is ready to leave Philly," the source said. "He isn't with the whole tanking thing."

Young was excited about the possibility of being traded to the Houston Rockets in a deal for Omer Asik before talks broke apart.

Okay okay Philly fine, freeland, Leonard, claver, wright and T Rob for young and Hawes.

Thad is a very key part of the tank. Good enough to not be part of an obvious tank, yet not good enough to be anything but a role player for a contending team. His salary of $8m-ish is a bit steep for many teams to take on an undersized PF.

Self-awareness must not be a strength of Thaddeus Young.

Gee, what's next...will Derrick Favors request a trade?

I can't figure out what thaddeous means. The suffix -ous usually denotes an adjective. So, doing things in a thaddean way?

That changes everything. Doing things in a thaddeun way. Now I savvy. Thanks.

So, replace our reserve frontcourt with Philly's starting frontcourt? Then pull up Howell and Jackson from the D-league to get up to 13 players on the roster...I can dig it.

Honestly I would rather do a three-team with Toronto, sending us Hawes and Lowry; while using Mo, Wright, Barton, claver, and Leonard.
